You're talking to people who have stated they don't like Trudeau's leadership and think he should step down but will vote for him anyway. Rather than vote for any other party to at least give them a chance they'll vote for the idiot they know has done a bad job, with multiple ethics violations, and more scandals than any previous Gov. So I wouldn't waste your time telling them about tone deaf. It's cause and effect of why our federal government is such an embarrassment

Yea yea, I get it. Anyone who doesn’t want to gargle a cup of turds jizz while he spits on your family is a nazi..

This idea that asking for a PM who isn’t plagued by scandal, has constantly lied to the public, and handled the greatest threat of all our life times about as poorly as it could have is some right wing nut job ideology is completely fucking wacked out.

Why would I vote for a party that doesn’t align whatsoever with my values because of a slight dislike for the leader of the party that best does. It’s a two party system here whether we like to acknowledge it or not. The other option is to vote for a party who’s leader I strongly disliked (Scheer) with party platforms that I disagree with.
It’s pretty stupid to “give a party a chance” when they explicitly tell you that they are doing exactly what you don’t want if they get into power.

I think you don't understand how the electoral system works in Canada?

You see, only people living in Papineau, Quebec are voting for Justin Trudeau. The rest of us vote for local representatives we believe represent us and our values the best or for the party we believe has the most policies we agree with.

In fact, in Richmond, in my riding, my views don't align much at all with the Conservative Party, but the Liberal candidate (Peschisolido) is an asshole and the Conservative candidate Kenny Chiu actually seems like a genuinely helpful and super organized guy who puts out regular info pamphlets and invites you to write back to him with suggestions on what you would like to see him do, so I voted for him and he ended up winning.

Granted I did so in complete comfort of knowing the Conservatives wouldn't win a federal majority, it would have been a much tougher decision if I had thought the Liberal party wouldn't win federally........ but my priority order goes Local Representation > Federal Party > Leader of said Party... as in the leader of the party matters least to me which is, honestly, how it probably should be. It matters some, but not to the point where I vote for anything else just to get rid of someone.

Frankly I don’t exactly care that much about it as I’m completely checked out on this joke of a government. But it just adds to how tone deaf one can be in her case.
Is she supposed to be in charge of those things? I'm not sure what all she is allowed to do, since she isn't actually elected or anything, but I doubt she has the authority to order vaccines. If she did, you'd probably complain about her overstepping boundaries or something.

You can find something that says whatever you like pretty quickly. This article has discussions from scientists supporting the decision however, instead of an opinion piece written in a newspaper that is more of a conservative election pamphlet that’s put together by a writer with no scientific education and a background in writing about finances and economics.

From your article:

Quote:
Michael Houghton, a Nobel laureate and vaccine researcher at the University of Alberta, said evidence is already available that the AstraZeneca vaccine provides good protection at three months between doses, although he added that a four-month interval is “more of a calculated gamble.”
Again, the govt. takes a calculated gamble on your health because they signed a rotten deal with China.

There was -nothing- more important than acquiring as many vaccines as fast as possible. Not hospital capacity, not staffing, nothing. And Turd and the Libs screwed it up about as bad as you could.

If you can’t recognize that fact alone, then there’s no more discussion to be had. When it comes to nursing homes and vaccine procurement, their hands aren’t just covered in blood, they are swimming in it.

from the same paper.

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada...-bad-situation

Mixing COVID-19 vaccines could be making the best 'of a bad situation'

Quote:
With AstraZeneca delays, and 36 million doses of Pfizer and Moderna scheduled to come, mixing for potentially hundreds of thousands of people may become unavoidable

A combination of vaccines might provoke a stronger immune response. The University of Oxford is leading a major trial exploring alternating vaccines between dose one and two. Hundreds of volunteers aged 50 and older have received alternating doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines. The study was recently expanded to include the Moderna and Novavax vaccines.

That's pretty much what the FA is. I remember that Rex Murphy recently wrote a piece about how racism isn't an issue here in Canada and how he has never experienced racism.

I suppose a white man, racism tends to not affect the rest of your life as much as it does POC.

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-cou...tes-by-country

The chart says Canada is now 8th in the world in terms of vaccinations given per capita, so I’m not sure what you really want at this point.
Yes the US has given more, they manufacture it, and have a death rate nearly triple ours.
UK has given more, same thing, except their death rate is near quadruple, as well has having way stricter lockdowns than we have.

There’s things Canada should have done better, there’s things they did terribly, there’s things they did extremely well. You’re right there’s not really a discussion to be had, but it’s more of your lack of interest in looking at numbers and basing your anger on arbitrary opinions than data.

Seems to be the Turd supporter way to simply accept mediocrity snd scandal instead of demanding more from our leaders.

I completely agree that the Cons are pretty much a joke and they shoot themselves in the foot time after time when they have an open door to victory. However, that doesn’t dismiss the total train wreck this last term (and most of turds total run) of this liberal govt.

This is why we need PR. I am confident that the increase in selection means more people will have an actual choice that caters closer to their interests. I see this as appetizing to people whether you vote Liberal or Conservative.

Hard to take any of you seriously when you keep referring to our PM as "Turd". It's not like every single time Trump came up we called him "Dump". Come on guys it's childish as fuck and reeks of the whole "trigger the the libs schtick".

- this from someone who didn't really care for Trudeau from day 1

Gotta eliminate the political parties. Or at least create more of it.

What works for your riding does not align with the party, how will the MP vote?

Like the BC election, the debate, the only actual decent human being was the leader of the Green Party. But I can't vote for her cause I think her party concept is nuts.

You're not wrong, CB, but at the same time, people can only resort to that bit of name-calling at the political leaders' expense because they feel helpless. Looking at the federal situation we have, we all know Trudeau is crap, but there is nothing we can do that would get rid of him because the Cons are are bunch of disorganized garbage, and Trudeau wouldn't concede power on his own. So people ridicule, mock, and belittle him, chipping away at his credibility so that when an opportunity presents itself -- for example, if Trudeau gets into yet another scandal -- the discontent and lack of respect are already there, and the sharks will crave for blood to bring him down.

And hey, it's also a means to vent. If people aren't even allowed to do that openly, it is only going to create an atmosphere of hypocrisy (where people show respect on the surface, but in their minds, they couldn't hate him more).

It's all just a matter of human nature.

I think it's more like a giant douche or a turd sandwich. But really you got one party that allies with my beliefs and one that doesn't. Also the cons don't have a solid platform. Are they for the carbon tax or are they against it?

Minister suggests with Bill C-10, regulations could apply to accounts with a large enough following

So the people with power and influence will only go after those who might challenge their power and influence?

Question posed to Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault:
"It was important enough to put that exclusion (of user-generated content, in Bill C-10) there in the first place, now it's gone. Why was it important in the first place to put it there?"

I'm honestly surprised CBC was allowed to press him for answers. I hope people can put there politcal tribalism and see this Bill is not good.
