I'm not celebrating regardless. People need to realize politicians aren't going to fix things for us. The public needs to stand up for what is right and spend their money in places that benefit their community, and stop giving into corporate overlords for convenience. That's the only real economic fix there is. I just want a politician that won't actively go out of their way to make things worse to "stick it" to a group.
Say what you will about Biden and the shitty democrats, at least they weren't actively trying to fuck over Americans that didn't agree with them. That's really the best we can hope for here too. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.
Regardless, (non marginalized) people need to stop believing their success or downfall directly hinges on the government in power. My life is and would be the exactly the same regardless of who was in power the last 10 years. We should be considering who's lives wouldn't.

The government isn't fuelling fentanyl in drugs. The opioid epidemic can be traced to oxy use which can be solely blamed on Purdue and the FDA. It's not liberals, it's not the cons, and it's not the NDP. I've had friends die from fentanyl in drugs. I've had friends kill themselves because of addictions issues they couldn't curb. They were all white, they were all people I care about. This was prior to safe supply, prior to decriminalization. There was no policy that killed these people. It was childhood trauma, injuries, and shitty fucking drug dealers (pharmaceutical and street) that did, as well as the choices they unfortunately made.
This is the fucked up world, and has nothing at all to do with a respiratory virus outbreak and a trucker convoy so just shut the fuck up about it.
