I'll be there on june 23- rental specs are garbage. Take a peek at a 401A with the natural grain leather instead of the vinyl junk and the complete digital dash. Super nice.

who's the OEM for those CSL wheels? were they exclusive to CSL or you could purchase them as accessories? dey look gud

Those are made by BBS and sold by BMW. I doubt many have the CSL spec though as they are 8.5 inch width up front and harder to get.

Most people who add these wheels get the ZCP spec which is 8 inch wide up front from the Competition Package M3s which were sold here 2005-2006.

RS's own Jimmy Mak on the camera down at the Ridge this past weekend.

Perfect weather for my first time at the big track. Had a blast. King of the point by, it's a bit intimidating going from Pitt Meadows and even Mission into a very fast track.

The car never skipped a beat, big ups to the new Firestone Indy's. So much more grip than I've had before in this car. Used lots of the carbotech brake pads too.

Here's the rest of the album for more pics. Shout out to my brother ae86envy in the ae86 coupe.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that's deadbea7 in the passenger seat thankfully not saying how badly I'm butchering the race line

320icar 05-13-2019 04:42 PM

^^ did you stay in group C or move up to B? I haven’t signed up for any tss days yet, god I hope I make it out at least once this year

The Producer 05-13-2019 04:51 PM

move up to group B ?!? lol. no way anybody is letting me near group B - I'm a rolling road block out there. need more seat time STAT. I'm not sure how it works at other days, but there were very fast cars in C as well. TBH I'd have liked to be in a slower group to start. the most intimidating part of the day is watching a brand new mclaren go from very tiny to very big in the rearview

Was at Ridge as well :P

Thanks to @gilly's advice earlier this years, I mounted an Inno roof rack deflector and it significantly reduces the amount of wind noise from the roof rack. Their size large fits the MK7 VW platform well and was really simple to install.

Last chance I got to take a pic in my childhood home with the cars I dreamed of having in highschool. I remember watch FF1 and seeing Johnny Tran's S2K wishing I could have one someday hahaha

If anyone else was at the same trackday this past Sunday I might've snapped a photo of your car :) : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...4307050&type=3

Honestly man I wouldn't worry too much about your lines at the beginning, especially on your first time there. It was great that you were very observant of the cars behind you and pointing them by to pass

320icar 05-15-2019 06:51 PM

I’ll let you know after this weekend whether or not this was a stroke of genius, or the result of a stroke
