Just did a super lengthy 2-step detail on the E55 AMG. Prep, cut, polish, then Powerlock sealant + 845 wax. Also, ceramic coating for the restored headlights, black trims, and fender liners. Ready for spring.

The whole detail took me more than 25 hours to complete. The cutting step took up quite a bit of that time as this car has never been corrected since new. It had pretty significant swirls from dealer washes. it's still not perfect. I also removed the fender liners to clean and coat them which added a few hours. I polished the brake calipers and detailed the wheel barrels among other excessive OCD stuff.

It's fun to do your own car and take your time but I have a new respect for professional detailers who have to get that perfect finish while balancing schedules.

You polished your brake calipers? Larry Kosilla (Ammo NYC) would be proud.

Entrax, your composition is great! No real camera needed!

The pic was taken with a "real" camera though. Mud slut!

Maybe cause it's weight reduction, reputable for being strong, and has a good resale value.

I can’t imagine $1000 cheap cast wheels on a $50k car. You obviously never driven a car with lightweight wheels before😱
