Parking at YVR Looking to park for 9 days at YVR where's the cheapest lot, coupons etc? |
this is what I did since my friend live close by; park at the closest residential house, take a taxi. parking on the street is "illegal" if it's long term, but for 9 days, you should be fine. 15 dollars cab ride each way, versus 34 dollars daily (+10% off if u book early) |
For 9days, I'd really look into some ride options rather than parking. Call around for quotes. Not sure where you'd be riding from, but my usual guy charges $60ow. So really anything over 5days at YVR makes it worthwhile and I don't have to take any shuttle or stuff. Off and on at airport. |
i'm in coquitlam and coming from work for a friday night flight don't have time to get home, walk to skytrain and take the 1.5hr ride to the airport then when i come home sunday that's the last thing i feel like doing |
I’ve googled discount codes for Park and Fly successfully in the past. |
If car2go is an option for you its |
no car2go in coquitlam i could drive to new west then grab an evo but don't want to leave my car for 9 days in new west |
Early flight? Might want to look into Holiday Inn Express. Stayed there when we went to Mexico in November night before, I live on Surrey/Langley border so it saved us up from getting up super early and once you figured in the price of parking the cost of the hotel was pretty much a wash. They shuttle you to and from Airport. Edit: Never mind Sorry I see you have an evening flight probably not worth it but I'll leave the info here if anyone else is looking. Any friends or family in Richmond? Park there take a cab or get a ride? |
^I’ve stayed at Westin Wall Centre before sometimes they have promos where you stay 1 night and can park up to a week for free then additional days are $10. Recently booked for Feb but they only included 3 days. I’m gone a week so will pay the extra $40. Worth it for early flights and they also have shuttle service. |
I park at Jetset Parking. |
If you have a BCAA card, you can either get a discount with the parking lot there or register for EVO (for free plus some free minutes if you have a BCAA card) and drop off the car at the airport at the parking lot. |
Paid $70 today and my car was there for just over a day, maybe 30 hours. I guess per hour that’s not too bad but still :heckno: |
There is a long-term parking lot by the Outlet Mall. I'm not sure of the rates, but I think it's $20 per day. I use this now for all my long-term flights; you need to take the train to YVR, but it is free to Long Term Parking and only the last two train stops. I used to use Park-n-Fly, but their best rates are for 5+ days and some of my trips are under 5 days - so you may want to look online for their rate. Also, there are a few hotels in Richmond that offer you 1 week of parking for free if you spend the night, and the second week is cheap. However, their shuttle service doesn't always start until later, you need to ask. I have used both Holiday Inn's close to the airport; the one by the hockey rink is newer and nicer. |
So, no car shares in your area, and you don't want to leave your car on the street... Just take a cab, man. It's cheaper than leaving it in a lot, and a lot less of a hassle than taking transit. Better yet, you could take a cab to an evo or car2go and save some coin that way. |
