| April Easter 3 Day Road trip suggestions with a Lowered Car
April Easter 3 Day Road Trip Suggestions with a Lowered Car?
As the title states I have about 4 days off Easter weekend and I was wondering where I can go to stretch my cars legs outside of vi land.
I was looking at the Olympic peninsula loop in Western Washington? But it seems to involve a ferry so I'm not sure how lowered car friendly it is.
Any other suggestions? Head east to osoyoos? Then loop into Washington and back up? Or maybe head north up beyond whistler? But I'm not sure if there will be snow at that time.
Any other fun driving routes? Thanks |

Depends on what you want to do aside from driving, but Kaslo is a gorgeous, quiet little place that's fun to check out. There's so nice walking trails on the edge of town that are easy and a nice way to stretch your legs after all the driving. I've driven all but the Castlegar > Kaslo and Kamloops > Spences Bridge parts of this loop, some of it was a little while ago though so I can't comment on current conditions. I do know we saw 4*C at one point on Hwy 6 between Cherryville and Needles in late May a few years ago, idk what was going on be definitely keep an eye on weather forecasts.
Also keep in mind what kind of fuel you need, some of the more remote locations might only have questionable 91. https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/vanco...49.2827291!3e0

Nice driving roads, twists, ocean view, coastal cities, no tolls, no ferry needed.
I make the drive once a year with the BRZ. Would strongly recommend. Stay out of Ecola Park and you'll be fine pretty much anywhere. Hotels are reasonably prices in seaside, OR also. 3 day trip is easy. 5 hour trip. Easy win.

I'll look into the suggested places. I drove to Oregon in Nov and it was really tiring, and boring. Stop and go traffic jam on i5 in the afternoon around Seattle. Maybe because it was dark at like 4 pm.

i second Leavenworth for sure. Short yet not 6 hrs long. Something different to that part of town to see.
Interiors is good too, as the snow would have died down...maybe.
Another one i've done was Victoria to Port Hardy and just chill at different places along the way.

Its more of a small site-seeing (town, nature), german food/drinks, trinkets kind of place.
Personally, I wouldn't visit until after April. They usually get dumped with snow and the main road there can be pretty rough if its snowing. Snow tires and carrying chains are recommended for the highway.
