Looking for BMW / Euro shop that can do some basic custom work Hi Folks, I have a 2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster. I would like to get some aesthetic and mechanical custom work done on the car. I am looking for reliable shops that won't charge an arm and a leg to do the work. 1. I would like to swap out the headlights for some aftermarket headlights and install some RGB Halo lights to those lights 2. I would like to install a custom made BMW logo emblem to the hood, trunk and sides of the car - might be a body shop? 3. I would like to install a short shift kit and a ZHP shift knob Any recommendations for good shops with reasonable prices for this type of work would be much appreciated. Cheers, eggman |
Eggman, Custom, Good, Cheap... pick two. Take a look online for how to install a zhp knob, its really easy. Even the short throw isn't so bad (won't make a huge difference in my opinion). For some of the other stuff I've had really good experience with CG motorsports in Richmond. Good luck, hope the build goes well. Rich |
1. Depending on if your headlight is a sealed type through baking or just clips like the E46 M3, it should be an easy job. If its like e46 m3, pop off the clips, place the halos inside, feed the wires to the positive terminal and ground. 2. Is this to replace the OEM emblems? If so, you can easily swap them. Look on Youtube. If not, is this going to be wrapped on? 3. ZHP shift knob is easy, just be careful and don't take out your nose while you're at it. Check if you can put in a E60 shifter for shorter throw. Either way, its possible to DIY install a short shifter. |
