yo man, prequels are the most popular form of star wars hands down. its weird. lol. the kids love the prequels. when i say kids, they're like 20-29. it evolved into this... crazy meme generating entity.
they better not bastardize palpatine. like they did luke, and... everything else.
at this point if jar jar showed up, it wouldnt even be that bad. lol.
i like how the comments 100% of the time predict the outcome....i always read them too.
legit knew wtf was gonna happen in the last starwars film because it was so easily pieced together.
Am i the only one who thinks post millennial movies in general kinda stink?
-Terrible dialog
-Sporadic directing. used to be someone like a Scorsese or a Kubrick could pump out like 4-5 excellent movies one after the other. When's the last time a director had 3 consecutive box office hits?
-bad casting
-flooding with political propaganda
-no original concepts. Everything is "safe" and almost never pushes boundaries.
Of course there are exceptions. But they seem so few and far between these days.
Or is that just me thinking this?

I think most of your complaints are about Disney movies in particular
And now they own FOX...
What will they buy next? Pretty much every big movie is going to be Disney
They need to stop these, and let it sit for another 20 years after the whole PC police era is done and over with. I can't stand these new iterations. The only one I thought was decent was Rogue One.

Do you think C-3PO is going to die (for good) in this one? It could totally be a fake hook, but I can't shake off the fact that it keeps on making me think about it...
The idea of sacrifice and death is a meta theme that touches the heart in all stories. Eg. Spock, Black widow, Stark, Gandolf, Obi-Wan, etc.... I'd be surprised if this idea wasn't incorporated in a finale.
What kills me is they have absolutely absurd budgets for films these days and they spend about $20 on the writing. TFA and TLJ were horrendously bad, R1 was good by comparison but still pretty bad. I still haven't bothered to watch Solo, and I made the mistake of getting half excited for The Mandalorian until I found out it's not about Boba Fett for some weird reason? At least I can get excited about 4K77, 4K80 and 4K83, maybe they'll do the prequels after for the heck of it.
Spoiler!
I saw a tweet saying that apparently RoS is basically a remake of RotJ, which isn't surprising since TFA was basically a remake of ANH

I thought Episode 7 (The Force Awaken) was quite good, even though everything was a rehash of old stuff. But Episode 8 (The Last Jedi) was extraordinarily bad. I liked Rogue 1 for the intensity even though the plot itself was pretty thin, and I thought Solo's plot is decent even though I hated the actor playing Han.
Give Solo a watch if you haven't yet -- just treat is as a fun ride and don't set your expectations too high. If you only look at it as a casual sci fi film, it is still fun.
Man it's a freaking tragedy that Luke's send off movie was so bad. I tried to like it, but it was ruined by RJ.
Spoiler!
Seriously, 40 years later you're telling me the rebels and Luke accomplished... NOTHING? Made the whole original trilogy pointless... but I'll reserve judgement for now since it looks like an Imperial Army is rising from the ashes in the new one.
Solo wasn't that bad except you're right, the character was nothing like Harrison Ford and we were told a story that no one asked for.
