I've had this since 2016 as a second car only driven in the summer and I had intended to keep it for a long time. However, I had to buy a daily driver when my wife got a new job where she has to drive to work, and so three cars for two people was kind of overkill. Since it was only summer driven, I've only about 10k kms on it over the years since I got it.
It is completely stock and rust-free except for custom built and professionally installed roll-bar for safety and peace of mind. Never tracked or auto-crossed. No leaks, fresh fluids, pretty much ideal mechanical condition.
This 3-owner car has always been garage kept and never driven in the rain. Clean title; two accidents from previous owners on the front end, one on right side in 2005 and one on right side in 2009, both repaired professionally via ICBC.
Original paint, minor scuffs and chips over the years, but the paint itself is in great condition, very clean, straight, and shiny after a fresh wash and wax (which I do at the end of every season before covered storage).
It is serviced regularly by the Miata experts at Chikara/K2 Motorsport; latest work done last summer includes:
- oil & filter change
- MT and LSD fluid change,
- brand new Mahura aluminum radiator & new hoses,
- new OEM NGK spark plugs and wires,
- multi-point inspection.
- Timing belt done by previous owner at 121k kms.
- Falken Ziex All-Season Performance Tires were almost brand new from previous owner when I bought it.
Issues to note:
- top could be replaced if you plan on driving in the rain, but is fine in the dry and aesthetically fine with no large tears or obvious unsightly damage.
- driver side seat is worn on left side with a pretty decent tear in the leather at the leg bolster, previous owner was a big guy. Passenger seat is mint.
- brakes could be due sometime this season depending on how much you drive.
Available for viewing weekends. Car is currently in storage, can show and start her up on weekends, but test drives will need to be planned for serious buyers only in order to get temporary insurance.
