was kickboxing instructor trying injure me

i was doing a kick boxing class and the student i was paired up with had a strong roundhouse kick, i was holding thai pads for him. i told the student to kick lighter and he did as it was hurting my arms, but instructor came along and edged him to kick harder even when student said yea he cant handle the kick . i could take it for 6 kicks but after that my arms started to really hurt. i evaded one kick as it was too hard and instructor said you need toughen up.

i think instructor was trying in injure me. my arm is bruised also got feeling instructor doesnt like me as he didnt come along and give me pointers in my technique but he did with other studentss

whats your thoughts.

Didn't you already complain about this last year?

There's always two instructors: One that don't give a shit, act tough and the other that cares about their students experience and skills within the class.

If there were other pairs, I don't know why the instructor didn't just switch partners once you reported the issue.. If this is the first time you've complained he could have really just assumed positive intent.

I've taken kickboxing classes from just your average kickboxing instructor and another from an actual Martial Arts instructor and it was a night and day difference. MA Instructors IMO are more respectful and will push you to your limit when they learn to understand your physical potential. They also don't hesitate to discipline the shit out of you for foul hits, disrespect etc; which is fare.

Don't ever expect "special/ priority" treatment but if you find your not treated equally amongst your peers and you don't feel comfortable confronting your instructor, I would find a new place. Why pay for something you're not happy with.

I would suggest taking a Martial Arts class. Usually young adults biggest reservation is being at the bottom of the class or lowest ranking belt. Funny thing is, you normally rank faster than teens as you're more mature, aware of your own physical capabilities/ accessibilities. This can also vary drastically too.

Hope this helps,

Train like goku 100x earth gravity!!! You will improve in no time!

To be honest I think it is best if you just try something else maybe like hiring a personal trainer, doing Zumba or maybe just go swimming everyday. You aren't physically ready for kickboxing so why do it? Go for something easier more to your physical abilities and improve from there.
