Just buy a nice LS430 for what you'd pay in the tax on one of those cars new and never think about it again lol... literal bank vault of a car

But if you gotta have your gadgets... well...

My current car is a 2015 Hyundai Genesis V8 AKA Genesis G80. It's been solid so far, way less issues than a German equivalent but it'll cost just as much to fix if something does go wrong... lol... the electronic bits and pieces are expensive. The one major problem I did have was a wheel speed sensor, would've been a $1500 repair if it wasn't under warranty at the time.

Don't see Toyota and Honda moving those to RWD platforms if ever. For the demographic they are targeting, it makes zero difference to them whether if it's FWD or RWD based in terms of dynamics. What actually does make a difference is the space efficiency of a FWD/transverse platform.
With the way crash standards are evolving, you don't even get the benefit of a sleek design because everything is required to have a tall hood now.

We are but a small minority who care about dynamics and feel. For most ppl a RWD platform is only a talking point just like 0-60 times.

My data points to the Genesis cars not being any less maintenance heavy than the Germans. Dad's had two Genesis Coupes, yes they are last gen, but he's had his fair share of issues with the cars being covered under warranty, both original and extended.

Get a Charger SRT8 lol.
