One day when u get to take a step back from this, and look at things clearly (hopefully) you'll realize your emotions are getting the better of your reasoning
The moment he stopped running, and was under some semblance of control the police who rushed over to assist had backed off... I was expecting him to get mobbed and beaten for no reason, like the kid who called police out for lacking compassion, but that wasn't the case

One day you will be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a group of thugs will crack your skull with clubs, and you will go into a coma (hopefully not), and someone will say you had it coming because you were trying to get away from them.

If police say stop, you don't run... If they start apprehending you, you don't run... When you get hit after that, it's kind of expected, stop running! thank God they weren't a group of thugs or they would've actually cracked his skull
Of course you run when you know the police in HK have no accountability, and will bash skulls at any given time. You saw the other video I posted of people just standing at the wall, and the cop starts bashing random heads, and another cop bashes a guy in the kidney.
Police actions have shown that COMPLYING does NOT mean you won't be seriously injured or possibly killed. Being NON resistant does not mean that you will be arrested and sent to jail. There is a very real possibility that they will surround you and beat you in the head and other body parts with weapons. There are hours of footage showing this over and over again. This doesn't even take into account the cops that are shooting at heads with beanbags from afar, firing tear gas out of buildings from afar, throwing glass bottles at crowds from afar, or any other provocations that have been recorded. This doesn't even account the planting of evidence that have been recorded.
So to most protesters, you see someone coming at you, YOU FUCKING RUN. You could literally be killed if you don't at least try. This isn't resisting arrest, this is basic survival. From there, if they get their hands on you, you should stop, cover up, and hope you don't get injured or maimed. This guy wasn't so lucky.

No, and he stopped as soon as they got their hands on him.

Yeah, good thing they didn't all stand around and whack at his skull with batons once he stopped resisting. They might have actually hurt him.

So he should run when police try to grab him.
He should keep running when more police give chase.
He should keep struggling when they're trying to get him to the ground.
He shouldn't expect any force be used against him for his antics.... Got it
It sucks that he was injured, could've been much worse too, but like... What does anyone expect from that?

Keep trying lol
Not even mad anymore. You're so over the top it's ridiculous and kind of hilarious.
All I can do is assume that you're trying to get a rise out of me (and laugh it off that it worked at first), and you actually aren't this horrible .
When I first saw this picture and comprehended what was going on, my mind went blank. What kind of animal does it take to fxxking point a finger at someone whose head had been bashed in (by one of their police members), with dead-looking eyes, and a large bloody pool already curding, and he is still scolding him while pointing a finger at him?
He could be doing a vision test or something, who knows. The kid's left eye is not tracking properly, which you can see more clearly in another pic of the incident
Some of these posts are ridiculous... man... even in the USA where there is not an on-going riot situation, there's a reason so many black people run away from the po-po when they command otherwise... better than taking your chances at what might happen otherwise... at least you get shot in the back it proves something after your dead and there's a chance at justice, turn and face them and it's a whole different story of whatever the police make up about you being a threat.
Maybe in Canada, 99.9% of the time you are safe if you comply with police command... obviously less in USA... obviously substantially less in HK right now and various other places in the world. There's not many countries in the world where you can assume the police have your best interests and personal safety in mind at any given moment.

It's something I notice here in several threads - people don't keep their privileges in mind when forming thoughts.

It's Hong Kong... It's not Brazil, or the USA, where you get murdered by police just for being a certain type of way
You're rioting? Yeah you Might get beat, even then Ur not gonna get murdered. You're running from police, resisting arrest? Oh yeah you're gonna get beat for sure. So let's totally go with that route, maybe I can escape a beating... Uhhh Darwin awards being handed out left n right
Protesters march to us consulate carrying us flags calling for trump to liberate HK
It's smart. Appeal to one of the few countries that can put pressure on China. Bring up Trump in person, knowing that as their leader you need his attention, and the most effective way to do so is to appeal to his enormous ego
Here's some of the rest of the crowd in front of the consulate
Yes with the televised trade war, this seems like something trump would pounce on, to annoy China
On the other hand, China is annoying the US by investing $280Bn in Iran, snubbing us sanctions
isn't the stability of Hong Kong quite important to China economically?
I can't see why, from an economic aspect, the US would want to step in.
Would seem this is a sort of gift for them.
I'm also not sure this administration is too keen on getting involved in international conflicts that don't concern them directly. Thought they were moving away from that.

maybe i'm just lucky and/or respectful...my interactions with various officers in the US, Canada, Latin America etc...never had any issues
got a ticket 2 days ago in the US by highway patrol...commented on how my car looked low, that's it...wrote me up for only 5 over when i was 15 over
i'm not white/black/senior/lady/disabled etc...i always hear horror stories of extortions and abuse and i'm not discrediting them but i never had them first hand experience, knock on wood

It's not as important as it was, and the fact china's like /shrug about it suggests they aren't too concerned
And yeah dissaray is probably a good thing in the US's eyes, which is why trump butting in, stirring the pot, to prolong this, seems possible
And that's also why, those inside China, believe it when the state news is saying there's foreign influence
Note, Fanny Law is a member of the ExCo, the top ADVISING committee for the chief executive... Maybe that's why Carrie Lam is doing such a shit job at handling this whole ordeal.
TL;DR notes:
-Fanny Law goes to a talk show to say she has evidence that a 14-year-old is offering free sex to protestors. Her evidence is from "the daughter of a friend of a friend"
-Netizens have already found out that this "quote" was first published on a pro-beijing news source on facebook (Insiders News). They were also responsible for spreading the rumour that the family of the lady who was shot in the eye was paid 300k USD to keep their mouth shut.
-her name is trending in HK forums. She is now hiding under a rock.
