Hong Kong Activists Joshua Wong, Denise Ho Testify Before Congress

SkinnyPupp 09-18-2019 12:20 AM

Anonymous poll of current and former police officers

Quote:

68% admit selective enforcement (treating protesters and citizens different from triad members and fascists)
60% admit excessive force used
82% believe the police mishandled the Yuen Long incident
78% support an independent inquiry into the police
20% believe the police used minimal force vs 60% who believe the police used excessive force
30% believe the police are following proper procedure vs 53% who believe the police abuse their power and 44% who believe the police violated human rights
The respondents varied between maniacal terrorists and reasonable people who happen to be HKPF officers.

Some comments left:

Quote:

"Any "naughty" people I'll kill them as soon as I see them"

"Even though I'm police, don't trust the police."

"Don't call the police if you need help, I dare you."

"I'll shoot when I want to!"

"For the 721 incident I say sorry"

"There are some things we cannot say out loud, please don't treat us all to be on the same boat, there's a lot of police that are pro-movement"

progressively getting more violent as oct1 draws near

SkinnyPupp 09-21-2019 06:11 PM

Letter of No Objection got overturned for yesterday's protest, so the assembly was legal. Police almost immediately started shooting tear gas into the peaceful, legally assembled crowd.

Youngest protester so far has been arrested - 10 years old. He was shouting at police.

They also arrested anyone in a medic uniform, so once again they are targeting medics. They taunted them, calling them cunts and cockroaches, saying cockroaches don't need medics. So the dehumanization campaign among the police force continues.

Famous 70 year old protester, who has been at almost every gathering with the intent of "protecting the young", got pepper sprayed in the face and arrested for pretending to be a member of the press.

More tear gas, more beatings, more taunting by the police. More molotovs thrown (again by protesters who wear the exact same gear as undercover cops, complete with the identifying LED lamps and everything, not sure why these bottle throwers always look like cops)

For people not following closely, yesterday the triad associate/lawmaker (yup) Junius Ho called for a "cleanup of Hong Kong" where he convinced (and probably paid) fascists to go to the various "Lennon Walls" and "clean them up". Really they just tore them off the walls and left them on the ground for protesters to actually clean up. It was a farce, with the obvious intention of inciting clashes between citizens and fascists. There were times where police would form a protective line around the fascists, allowing them to create their messes, and drove them off in police vans (not arrested).

Ho's plan failed, as none of the protesters took the bait, and I don't think there were any violent clashes (the only violence came from the police after they declared the legal assembly as ... whatever they declare when they decide to shoot people with tear gas...). The Lennon Walls are all being put back together again today, with updated information (more focus on police brutality and triad collusion, rather than the cancelled bill)

10/1 is going to be big, the fireworks have been cancelled (not the first time IIRC). The establishment of the PRC taking over China should be a day of mourning for the country anyway, not a day of celebration. It's appropriate for them to cancel the fireworks.

I’ll just leave this here.

This could've ended up very bad, protesters pile on officer and beat him, one grabs his stick and beats the officer with it, another tries to get the officers gun out of his holster, but backup arrived

HK Police are considered pretty much foreign invaders of Hong Kong these days. It's unsafe for any police officer to be separated from his crew when there are protests going on.

In the meantime, they continue to harm and torture citizens, and the government isn't budging on holding them accountable, so things aren't going to get any better.

StylinRed 09-23-2019 04:29 AM

An HK protester was beat up by other protesters cuz they thought he was pro china, then they accused him of kicking a kid in the balls, then they accused him of being a triad member

Full clip

Another angle, and interesting vid

bcedhk 09-23-2019 08:11 AM

Both sides are going for blood. But whenever the protestors are attacking, it creates more damage cause pro-china media will use it to the fullest.

Did anyone see the shit show form the HKPF press con? That gwai lo needs a smack in the back of his bald ass head.

SkinnyPupp 09-23-2019 08:26 AM

Police beat the living shit out of an arrested and handcuffed citizen who was wearing a yellow shirt. When questioned during the press conference, with video footage of a cop kicking the guy in the face (his face was already swollen from the beating, and he was only semi-conscious) they said that they weren't sure what the "yellow object on the ground" was that was being kicked.

As long as the police keep doing stuff like this, people will get more and more unreasonable and mob-like. I said from day 1 that this was the goal of the government. It's working.

Stylin every time you gleefully make a post of some pro-HK people being violent, remember that the ones at fault for this are the police. They started the violence, they continue to push the violence, and are pushing the people more and more towards violence.

I hope these people in these crowds can take a step back, take a deep breath, and reconsider what they're doing in these situations. Not everyone is happy to see it

However keep in mind the possibility that many of the more violent "radical" and "hardcore" protesters are actually cops in disguise. We've seen it so many times that it can no longer be dismissed. Since everyone is anonymous, and even the press try not to identify people, it's very easy for them to get into the ranks and provoke the more destructive acts.

And finally, someone needs to tell the fascists to stop trying to take on 200 angry people on by themselves. For fuck sake. (this doesn't mean provoke them in groups either.. go sing the national anthem somewhere or something, leave the walls up, and be peaceful)

That guys' footage was fascinating, but he had a really shitty, flippant attitude towards the whole thing. I kind of wish he'd been one of the "press" to be randomly pepper sprayed in the face by cops. Maybe he wouldn't be saying how fun it is watching people risking their lives

Big yikes here.

bcedhk 09-23-2019 01:32 PM

I'm going to guess this idiot will be away from the PPRB spotlight. Mind you, he already has a bad track record (he "accidentlay" discharged his weapon in 2012 and have been a vocal member on LinkedIn, which has since been deleted)

"you think any police officers would be stupid enough to assault someone under detention?".... he's indirectly confirming these cops are idiots.

Goes to show you that getting those crowns on his shoulders do not require high IQ/EQ. all you need to do is listen to commands from the captain for 15+ years.

that was so fucked up, at first I thought ppl mayve been exaggerating that officers claims of calling him a yellow object, but holy shit :heckno:

I don't post it with glee, I find it disgusting, and it's a side of the protests that doesn't get covered, and it's a side that protesters want to discredit, which is ridiculous.

Of course tensions and anger is high, especially given the times police are violent, but there's no excuse to be gang beating people who disagree with you, or coming up with bullshit as if it's an excuse for beating anti-protesters.

Couple points about his footage, wow is it ever fucking cheap to fly to HK from SFO!

It kind of confirms what officers are saying, and what we all know, about there being fake press/medics

Ppl were angry that the police stopped busses, and were arresting youth riding transit, but according to him, the protesters were actually changing their clothes, and getting on the busses to head to other protest points.

He may be a thrill seeker, and doesn't care about the protests one way or another, but that makes him unbiased, and gives us a good view of things, since he gets right in there as his goal is to get tear gassed (dumbass I know)

punkwax 09-23-2019 06:25 PM

Yellow object is pretty darned racist if you ask me..

It is, and it's just as legit. Even 10 years ago people wouldn't even consider hating on the cops. Now they are literally seen as the enemy for a whole generation.
