The funds are meant for the ticket, which is conditional on him getting his Chinese citizenship. It makes no sense that he be entitled to anything when he can sabotage his own application (or the subsequent process).

A lawyer only does what is requested and based on the information provided. Having a lawyer does not mean someone will answer questions honestly or provide the appropriate documentation. Anyone, good or bad, honest or liars, can have a lawyer.
How exactly would you even know (and then prove) if he deliberately answered a question unfavorably or falsified a statement that would result in his application being rejected?

You have to understand... our reward vs. your reward and our cost vs. your cost. Our reward is to see you renounce your citizenship to prove a point. Your CDN citizenship, if we were to put a value on it, let's say 100G since that's probably the cheapest way for one to get a PR by investing in the middle of nowhere.
Our cost is what? 3-7k depending on person? WTF is that? Manic IIRC drives a fucking Audi R8, he probably spends that much on booze/smoke/gas a week. Twmd, I don't know, but really, if he's at least over 30yrs old, a few grand shouldn't make his life difficult in any way. As for me? On any given day, that's the swing of my stock portfolio and if I don't feel a thing seeing 3-7k up and down every day, wtf am I going to feel about spending that to prove a good point.
So, there's no way you coming out of this ahead. Assuming we both follow through, our costs is 10-15k in total for a satisfaction that's worth more than 100k. While you spent something that costs 100k+all the associated cost by moving back for what? business class tix?

My nationality is Canadian. There is no restoration of Chinese nationality. Hence the lawyers needed for this whole process. What you pussying out again ? Why don’t you want lawyers involved.
You said you left when you were young meaning you had chinese nationality to begin with. If you didnt renounce it then it's even simpler. All you have to do is renounce your canadian citizenship.
China doesnt have dual citizenship. if you leave for Canada, its automatically lost. Your Hukou is gone, so you gotta start fresh. Thats why this ill hatched scheme of yours will never really work. once you leave its really hard to go back. Honestly I think it wouldn't be too hard if you tell them you want to contribute to their wonderful society and be a good Party follower. You may need to think of some way to show them that you are wealthy (hint, hint)
Rule of law is very flexible in china, nothing is really in black and white, unless it goes against the Party. If something favours them, they're a lot more flexible.
But that will take a lot of money, and I know you're not going to put up your own money to go along with this stunt, so let's all just drop it
What are the requirements?
To be eligible to renounce your Canadian citizenship, you must:
1. be a Canadian citizen;
2. prove that you are or that you will become a citizen of a country other than Canada if your application to renounce is approved;
3. not live in Canada;
4. be at least 18 years old;
5. not be a threat to Canada’s security or part of a pattern of criminal activity; and
understand the significance of renouncing your Canadian citizenship.
Looks like there could be problems with #2 & #3. But who are we kidding. no one actually thinks Badhobz would of went through with this. But seems to me everyone believes Hehe, twdm, and Manic would of put up the money "if" he did.
I don’t know of anyone who’s actually been able to restore their citizenship in China after leaving. That’s why I’m willing to go through this whole dog and pony show. I don’t think it can actually be done.
