i saw on CCTVB news that they caught a fan video of what appears to be Dwight signing a chinese flag
i mean.. thats a big nono haha
but now i can't seem to find the clip. i saw it on the 11pm news
I mean he's not wrong. Let's put this in other terms. Let's say you looked a house to buy from a friend. No agents initially, since you're just looking and testing the waters.
Then as the deal progresses, it gets serious, agents are brought into negotiate the terms for each party. Now clauses or subjects are being brought up like inspections. Is that bad faith? No. Cause in the begining neither party knows if they're serious.
How would have BadHobz acted in bad faith if the contract wasn't even signed? Y'all just a bunch of joe blows on the internet saying random shit. You want it to be serious? Then iron out the details and get a legally binding agreement.
Having an American citizenship nor knowing that he wouldn't qualify for Chinese citizenship, doesn't constitute as negotiating in bad faith. This whole thing was about his Canadian citizenship, what the fuck does an American citizenship have to do with it? Furthermore, since it is extremely difficult to get Chinese citizenship, how would he be an actor of bad faith if that fact is public knowledge.
It's on the parties to know their own shit or hire someone who knows their shit. If you buy an E46 M3, they're not going to tell you that the generation of 3 series has subframe issues. That's something you got to do research on yourself. What makes you think that it constitutes bad faith? Bad faith is actively lying about something. Withholding information that is common knowledge, isn't bad faith.
You representing him?
Spoiler!
A contract/agreement can be verbal. Just because something hasn't been put in writing or drafted in a lawyer's office doesn't mean it's not binding.
There is no requirement for agents to be involved in order for two parties to enter into a contract. People do this all the time (especially in China).
You are assuming that someone needs to be in a binding contract before they can act in bad faith.
Just because you pay someone for (what you think to be) professional services (not just lawyers, but also people with licenses, designations, certificates, etc) does not mean you are in the right, absolved of any wrong-doing, or have done things correctly. Having a lawyer does not prevent any party from acting in bad faith. Your lawyer only knows what you are willing to tell them.
Newfoundland Court: Bad faith refers to a subjective state of mind, that is conduct which has been motivated by ill-will, hostility, dishonesty, malice, personal animosity or even "sinister" purposes.
Supreme Court of Canada: "Bad faith" generally has been defined by the Supreme Court of Canada as "conduct involving 'malicious intent' or that 'exceeds the limits of discretion reasonably exercised.
California Court of Appeal: "I would stress, for it seems to me that an unfortunate tendency has developed of looseness of language in this respect, that bad faith or, as it is sometimes put, "lack of good faith," means dishonesty, not necessarily for a financial motive, but still dishonesty. It always involves a grave charge."
Wikipedia: Bad faith is double mindedness or double heartedness in duplicity, fraud, or deception. It may involve intentional deceit of others, or self-deception. The concept is similar to perfidy, or being "without faith", in which deception is achieved when one side in a conflict promises to act in good faith (e.g. by raising a flag of surrender) with the intention of breaking that promise once the enemy has exposed himself.
Some examples of bad faith include: a company representative who negotiates with union workers while having no intent of compromising; a prosecutor who argues a legal position that he knows to be false; an insurer who uses language and reasoning which are deliberately misleading in order to deny a claim.
Mr. Badhobz knew full well that he could not have dual citizenship if he were to become a Chinese citizen, he has stated this. However, he did not disclose that he had American citizenship to the other parties, knowing that retaining his American citizenship would prevent his application for Chinese citizenship from being approved. He withheld information that already predetermined the eventual outcome. He deliberately misled the other parties in order to entice them into entering the contract for the purpose of tying up their money for years (which he already admitted to), when he had no intention of keeping his promise.
Ill-will, dishonesty, sinister purposes, malicious intent... Sounds like bad faith.
How would Hong Hong supporters feel about the democratic country of Canada sending the 'White Helmets', that have been relocated here, to aid in their cause?
Another lunch time banker march, in response to two students who have come forward with accusations of sexual violence and sexual abuse by police. The female has been doxxed by mainlanders, and has been harassed by them ever since. She says basically she was forced to show her genitals to female cops with males nearby, being slapped in the chest by a male cop, and had her shirt lifted in front of male cops.
The male says he will give full details in the next protester press conference. He said he was raped and sodomized by male police officers.
Police want them to come forward, but they're kind of rightfully scared. In other countries of course you'd go forward. In this case, they're worried about being disappear'd.
Apparently there are people going around to shops, claiming to be protesters, threatening to vandalise their stores if they don't donate to the cause. Oldest triad trick in the book, but with a twist
She's permanently blind, and the police have yet to investigate or suspend the guy who shot her in the eye. So now they're forcing them to give up his identity so they can go after him privately.

NEW YORK, NY—In an effort to salvage its relationship with China, the NBA is now requiring all players to stand for the Chinese national anthem at the beginning of every game.
The official song of the People's Republic of China, "March of the Volunteers," will be played at the start of all professional basketball games, whether at home or abroad. All players, fans, coaches, and employees will be required to stand and solemnly sing lyrics including the following:
Millions of but one heart we run towards the Communist tomorrow!
Build our homeland, guard our homeland, and fight gallantly.
March on! March on! March on!
We, for tens of thousands of generations to come,
Hold high the Flag of Mao Zedong, march on!
"We hope this gesture of goodwill will show China that we love them and there is no need for our multi-billion-dollar deal to fall through," said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. "March on, Mao!" Silver then performed a soft jazz rendition of the tune and bowed low to the ground to show President Xi Jinping that he is very sorry.

So you didn't notice that it's a parody news website?
After three days of fanning nationalistic outrage, the Chinese government abruptly moved on Thursday to tamp down public anger at the N.B.A. as concerns spread in Beijing that the rhetoric was damaging China’s interests and image around the world.
For days, China’s state-run news outlets and tightly controlled social media platforms had been alight with criticism of the N.B.A. after a Houston Rockets executive expressed support for Hong Kong’s anti-government protesters on Twitter. Plans to broadcast two N.B.A. preseason games were canceled and some Chinese companies suspended partnerships with the league.
Now, the Chinese government appears to be reassessing its campaign against the N.B.A. and dialing down the clamor. The government is already in a bruising trade war with the United States, and a backlash against China could hurt its image in the sporting world ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics near Beijing. The dispute with the N.B.A. was also quickly politicizing an audience of sports fans who would not normally focus on issues like the protests in Hong Kong.
Editors at state news outlets have told reporters to avoid emphasizing the N.B.A. issue for fear that it might become overheated, according to interviews with three journalists on Thursday.
The controversy soon fell off the government-guided list of top 10 trending topics on Weibo, the country’s Twitter-like microblogging service. The authorities did not cancel Thursday’s preseason N.B.A. game in Shanghai.
And even the highly nationalistic Global Times tabloid stopped pushing populist indignation over the tweet.
“I think this issue will gradually de-escalate — Global Times will not push to keep it hot,” Hu Xijin, the newspaper’s top editor, wrote in an electronic response to a request for comment. “I also hope the American side won’t make any moves to escalate it.”
China’s foreign ministry spokesman refused to say anything further about the dispute at Thursday’s news briefing.
The Chinese backlash sought to pressure the N.B.A. to be more critical of the Rockets’ general manager, Daryl Morey, who had since deleted the pro-Hong Kong tweet. The N.B.A. initially apologized for the remarks but took no further action and its commissioner later defended the league’s employees’ right to free speech.
For many observers, the issue quickly became a reminder that navigating commerce in an increasingly political China can be a minefield for international companies.
Beijing officials worry that a highly politicized struggle over the Hong Kong protests might hurt the two days of high-level trade talks starting on Thursday in Washington. Vice Premier Liu He is leading the Chinese negotiating team in Washington, and two people familiar with the talks said that the Chinese side was ready to conclude a partial deal with the Trump administration.
The protests may cause high-profile athletes and their fans around the world to pay attention to the Hong Kong protests for the first time, and their sympathies might lie with the protesters instead of Beijing, one of the two people said. Both of them insisted on anonymity because of the sensitivity of the trade and nationalism issues involved.
Tying sports very closely to Beijing’s handling of the Hong Kong protests may increase the risk of an international boycott of the Winter Olympics to be held in China in 2022, at a town just outside of Beijing. China has been wary for many months of a possible boycott.
Chinese officials have been quick to point out in recent months that China did send its athletic teams to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 despite a Soviet-organized boycott that year in retaliation for the American-led boycott of the Moscow Games four years earlier. China itself did not send a team to the Moscow Olympics, however, but supported the American boycott in 1980.
The campaign against the N.B.A. also put in an awkward position the many retailers that have large stocks of merchandise carrying various brands of the N.B.A. Businesses are reluctant to write off the value of this inventory.
The basketball issue was also drawing unwelcome attention to Alibaba, a Chinese electronic commerce giant that is trying to expand in the United States to compete with Amazon and that has sought to avoid becoming mired in political disputes between China and the United States. Joseph Tsai, a co-founder of Alibaba, also owns the Brooklyn Nets and jumped into the controversy over the tweet. He issued a strongly worded statement on Facebook calling for respect and understanding for China’s desire to oppose any form of separatism after a long history of intervention by foreign powers.
Interesting to start bringing up the Olympics, it's astonishing that china got another one so soon. I wonder how many countries will be willing to boycott them in 2022

With the high cost of hosting the games, lack of public support from the bidding host city/country due to the costs, there's not a lot of places that want to host.
Vancouver 2010 broke even, rather that loosing money like most modern games.
After Oslo pulled out of the 2022 bidding, Beijing beat out Kazakhstan to host 2022. Even China didn't want to build a lot of new venues, they're planning on reusing some of the Summer Olympic venues if they can.

I can see where he's coming from. (NOT to say I condone it, as much as I shouldn't have to point this out, I am going to).
I don't post them here, but there's a constant stream of new footage of cops beating the shit out of random people while making pointless non-charge arrests. Every day about 5-10 new videos come up, cops screaming, poking, spraying, bashing, and basically being thugs.

And there are just the same amount of video of protestors fucking up properties, throwing shit at police, beating other people up, distrusting normal life at any cost and also trying their best to murder cops.
If one can make the excuse that rioter are mad at the police because of the constant media they see of police brutality. You can also make the excuse that police is also mad about the rioter and how they are treating the city And the police force.
The goal post of acceptable behaviour from everybody is just being move further and further.
The 5 demand the rioter wants. Ask the people on the street and they will all give you a different answer. It’s not longer the same 5 demand from the very beginning.
Anarchy is all the rioter want. Not a path for a better future
Poking holes in people with umbrella's, punching women in the face, lighting people on fire, and now this... China needs to re-educate these people in camps, they're as brainwashed as the isrealis and a homegrown threat at that.
