If one can make the excuse that rioter are mad at the police because of the constant media they see of police brutality. You can also make the excuse that police is also mad about the rioter and how they are treating the city And the police force.

The goal post of acceptable behaviour from everybody is just being move further and further.

The 5 demand the rioter wants. Ask the people on the street and they will all give you a different answer. It’s not longer the same 5 demand from the very beginning.

Anarchy is all the rioter want. Not a path for a better future
The big difference is the cops are supposed to be trained professionals.

What you're saying it reasonable, and things would be totally going that way. Protesters would be singing and making human chains, and folding paper cranes, and holding up signs and banners...

...If the police hadn't been acting the way they have for the last 4 months.

It's to the point where even regular people in the street are being assaulted by police, just for wearing a mask. The "worst case scenario" is happening because of the emergency ordnance mask law. The ONLY reason to pass the law was to get people to act more violently, on both "sides". And it's working exactly as planned. The only way to get people to calm down a bit would be to cancel that law (they're going to look at it in High Court in a couple weeks)

Dont get me wrong. I agree the chaos is completely cause by an inadequate government. Everything could of been stop months ago if the government had listen.

But here we are now and the escalation of violence from both side is doing zero for Hong Kong's future.

Suppose the anti-mask law get struck down in a couple weeks. The scar between everyday citizen will not stop. There will be endless accusation on who is wrong, who is right. Why did you support this and why did you support that. Which act of violence justify, which act is not justify. Not to mention the police force is so beyond being save now, no hong kong citizen is going to want to join the police force for at least a generation.

There will be endless witch-hunt on both side will not stop and the only people to suffer here is the Honger of all profession and of all political belief.

Yes police are suppose to act professional. But none of the police force in Hk has the training to handle unrest at this scale. This has been pointed out before, anywhere else the city would have been under martial law at least 2 months ago. Hk police is stuck in between their people and the government. They can't call on the real professional (aka the PRC), they can't even call on support from the mainland (even more accusation of China involvement).

Its also frustrating that when police brutality happen, the whole city mobilize immediately to dig dirt on the cop. When incident like this happen, it always goes like this:

-blame that person for being a chinese puppet
-if that person is not a chinese puppet, justify its action on police brutality.

The correct answer should be all violence on another human being is wrong no matter who did it.The crowd should put the same amount of effort into denouncing violence from their own people as they do with police brutality. Who know maybe this will wake up some police that they are also a Hong Kong citizen and give everybody a common ground to stand on.

Until the HKPF and top government staff admit their lack of training/judgment, I feel like the protest and violence won't simmer anytime soon.

Not exactly... both sides only have HK's future in mind. Freedom and democracy on the protestors side, Fascism on the guard dog's side.

Wow lebron came out and essentially supported China by calling Morey misinformed and his tweet 'dangerous'. Couldve been a defining moment is his career. Who wouldve thought that China is the most capitalist society of today... Weve been fooled to call them communist this entire time...

His tweet was dangerous. It could have gotten the whole NBA entourage playing preseason games in China stranded. Darryl Morrey was a fucking dumb ass.

If LeBron admits that China is a dangerous place for players to be, because of a TWEET, maybe he should be speaking out against them along with his commissioner and others.

nowhere did he speak out about the tweet being dangerous...while i disagree about rockets GM being misinformed, i think he has a point...dont bite the hand that feeds when you're about to take sponsorship money/play in their house...go ahead and join the protest after business is complete...time and place for everything

Space Jam 2 is coming out in 2021... So ya know, no surprise

It's funny how Lebron was saying Morey was only thinking about himself when he made his tweets lmao

China was already backing down - something they never ever do, and then they go and do this. Talk about complete fucking no awareness at all. China/Lebron's idiotic comments did nothing but add fuel to the fire that was starting to kind of die.

Sometimes I wonder if they're being inflammatory no purpose, because there's no way someone could be that blind. But then I realize that they have NO IDEA how to deal with people who can think openly, and are against this form of social control and capitalism.

Really I think it's a combination of the two though

That's my point though. Business is never complete... LBJ is trying to develop his brand and his legacy and his son is on the path to the NBA too. When is the right time and place?

Adding this tweet from Lebron in 2018 -

"Injustice Anywhere Is A Threat To Justice Everywhere- Our Lives Begin To End The Day We Become Silent About Things That Matter"

Jimmy Sham, organizer of many protest marches, was attacked in the streets by 5 CCP paid thugs with hammers. Already 2nd attack on him since the protests started.

So much for the momentary peace. I guess Carrie Lam forgot to pass the memo to her CCP stooges to stop stirring shit.

Like I said, this is the shit you'd expect from the CCP shitbags.

^^ is there any prof about who did it? Coz it could be anyone out there and without prof I wouldn't say who did it or who is behind it.

Edit. I remember awhile back (last year I think) one of the anti CCP councillor claims he was kidnapped and was tourtune for several days and he claims it was the pro CCP people who kidnapped him and use staples on his legs. Turns out it was just a bunch of lies and he staple himself and injury himself trying to paint the pro CCP a bad image.
