Protester supporters hate hearing this, but it's true, A lot of the hkpf are probably demoralized, exhausted, with a high lvl of anxiety, to the point they're irrational, and out of control.
No police force, or military, faces daily battles, ridicule, n hate from all sides, especially for such an extended period, even US forces are rotated out, and when they're in a war zone, they're not even facing daily struggles like this.
HKPF likely doesn't have the numbers to rotate these ppl out, and even if they did, the psychological burden they're facing just being in HK wouldn't abate.
C. Lam likely won't ask the CCP for assistance, to give the hkpf a breather, so the HKPFs condition will just worsen, which will lead to more reckless/violent actions, which will lead to more hate from the public.
This thread has quieted down. So the protests are decreasing?
No, a University level protestor died after falling from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor of a parkade. I suppose it's a moment of silence or Skinny is too busy dealing with the dating scam PMs.

Police first said that they weren't even in the parkade until after 1am. Then some dashcam footage came out, showing them there at 10pm. They said it was a mistake. After that came out, someone went and stole dashcams from many of the other cars parked in there. Someone is trying to get to the evidence - either the police or protesters.
Then the parkade owners (The Link - basically every lower end shopping mall and wet market is run by them) released all their parkade security footage. One shot quickly shows someone dressed all in black shoving the at protester as he tries to get away.
Police wouldn't let anyone near him after he fell. They blocked medics from attending to him, so it's possible that the delay in medical help led to his death.
They also fired tear gas into the area, against regulations (it should never be used in a closed space). It's possible that he felt he had to jump down a floor of the parkade in order to get away from tear gas.
This needs to be investigated by a third party.
Also more allegations of rape are coming out; a 16 year old had to have an abortion after being raped by 4 cops.

I know Skinny is always on the protest side but look what is happening over the past 2 weeks. Protestor destroying various shops (restaurants, bakery, MTR stations, banks, cell phone shops, shopping malls, 360). One dim sum place even try to reason with the protestor not to go in to the store and destroy but the protestor did not listen and went in to destroy it anyways when regular people are in there eating having dim sum.
You always claims these protestor are thugs hire by the police/CPP to make the protestor look bad when when the police came and arrest them using physically force (causing some of them to bleed) I don't think they are hire by the HKPD/CPP. Also more and more people are wearing black shirts, mask with weapons and is out there just looking to destroy things/blocking traffic and the HKPD is not even in that area yet. So I don't think HKPD escalate the violent in these cases.
The protestor who are causing all these violent should be arrested.

Are all these shops, banks, and that dim sum place state owned?
They're all either state owned, triad owned, vocally pro-fascism, or the MTR which is used to deploy terrorism throughout the city
Doesn't matter who owned, doesn't justify violence. This has been beaten to death.

a) Thanks for pointing this out; never thought about this perspective. I didn't see any news on not allowing help. It might be the case. 100%. Still don't know why he fell. I can't tell what are real legit medics versus volunteer st. john medics anymore.
b) As for the rape by 4 cops... wtfffff, can you post this? I vaguely saw some reports on the radio but never actually saw any details. They did say there was this incident and being investigated by a senior ranking officer due to it being a high profile allegation. Would love to read up on this.

Man.. i wish..
Anyone watched this?
Chapman To was so loud and angry. At times he was too much to reason with.
Cliff notes:
-Chapman says to yes to independent investigation. Chan Pak-cheung says yes also; AFTER the riot dies down.
-Chapman agrees to ZERO tolerance and must arrest all protesters; Chan also agrees.
-Chapman was pissed about cops brutality; Chan says.. if you didn't start the riot, there wouldn't be any force needed. Huge chicken and the egg conflict debate.
-last part: Chapman didn't understand why are cops not showing the badge numbers; how the fuck do you expect people to identify the cops. There is no means way to tell from the mask. Chan answered: "Based on the time & date, the cop's schedule could / would righteously have a record and possibly identify cop(s) present. I thought it was a bit far fetched from Chans point of view. Nonetheless, Chapman did STFU after this explanation.
It was a decent debate as I thought it was monumental to see both at least agree / came close on SOME things.

FULLY justified. At any place on the planet (unless you're in UK / Japan, where cops aren't normally armed), if someone posses a threat (let alone attacking), cop has every right to protect him/herself. I do NOT see why people are so shocked.

Everybody including the kid in the video haven't thought about getting shot. Look at him stepping right up to the cop holding a gun to his face. See how nobody scatter after the shots. HK clearly does not have a gun culture. Until guns are use against a population, nobody expect the gun to be anything more than a warning.
For one I am FULLY MOFO mad, this is TOTALLY UNJUSTIFIED. How the fuck do you run people over with your motorcycle. This cop should die.... 唔洗獨立調查;立刻捉去打啦

I saw 6 riot cops show up at the mall nearby yesterday right as I was getting on the bus. No protesters in the area, but they all showed up, shields in hand. Everyone just watched nervously and I got the fuck outta there.
