Interesting thread on the division of student protesters who defended CUHK during the police siege, and some of the outsider protesters who came to help them, but also wanted to make things more violent and destructive.

Having no leadership has its drawbacks, but is definitely the only way things can work. It's kind of a learning process for them I think.

If you think it's just a group of Good Samaritans, I know people got mad at me for saying stuff like this before, but if you think that, you're extremely naive. Whether you're a protester or a fascist, or anything in between, you are a fool for thinking this was just a group of folks wanting to Do Their Part, and decided to go out and Do It; To Hell With The Law.

Almost everyone has ulterior motives, you don't know what they are though, can't avoid that fact of life, just have to ignore it, else you'll be a grumpy old man suspicious of everyone, and yelling at everybody... So you just have to focus on the positives, something good is being done, and being done peacefully

you think the PLA would have better brooms :lawl:

even the old lady street cleaners have brooms with more bristles

Do you prefer if it was white people who clean the streets? Or are they fascists too?

You live in Hong Kong, you say all this shit about loving Hong Kong and its such a shithole. Get out there and do something. I don’t see you cleaning up? The amount of time you took to fail each “fascist” poster, you can probably pick up a few bricks already.

There is something called life for the ordinary citizens who wants to go to work and make a living, folks who wants to go out and have dim sum in peace, or people who are sick and wants to go see the doctor. These protesters are interrupting their daily life.

I second highfives sentiments. Some people use the word "facist" like it's going out of style in this thread and to basically use when they have no argument. No difference then the Joey Siu girl in that interview I posted up last thread, she had her go-to phrases, but had no substance when asked to elaborate.

And to say the PLA soldiers will piss people of give me a break, the only people that are pissing off HK'ers are these rioters throwing molotov cocktails at normal citizens cleaning up their neighborhoods. See 2 min 15 seconds into this clip ..like WTF.. Like highfive said they PLA soldiers came out years back to assist in humanitarian efforts when the typhoon hit. It's nothing new stop trying to make it controversial and do your research. You would think a guy that puts so much time and effort in this thread would do that, or maybe they just likes to pick and choose pieces that fit their narrative.

You guys are 100% trolling. There's no other way to interpret it. This is the only response you'll get from me on the PLA issue.

Police have deployed a new weapon during their siege of PolyU, the LRAD "sound cannon". I don't think they've turned it on yet though

StylinRed 11-17-2019 01:27 AM

Ooo didn't think hk has one of those, surprised they haven't used it this whole time

Edit: oh wait I confused lrad with ads

Also, wasn't trolling at all about the cleanup

The pro-CCP stooges in the government were literally just bitching about how cops shouldn't have to be janitors and then the CCP goes to send the PLA to be janitors... OK

I'm not even going to bother entertaining this. If you're this thick, I can't begin to imagine how retarded the rest of the CCP apologists are. I'll let you google the rules regarding PLA conduct in Hong Kong and think for yourself. If your brain is still working that is...

12:00 HK

Earlier tonight the defense of PolyU managed to set an armoured truck on fire with a barrage of molotovs (or petrol bombs as they are known here).
Police are now armed with MP5s and Assault Rifles (Allegedly AR-15s?) and have warned protestors that further molotovs will be met with live fire.

Police were heard chanting "Tiananmen 2.0" on the bridges.

PR move or not

you really believe your fundamental rights are threatened by fascism because of brooms?

cries about police brutality (warranted), but also cries when brooms are out...the enforcement side must never win in your eyes

if the protestors can stage lawful assembly, so can the military do clean-ups., comically ironic if you think otherwise

most governments would send in the military when local low enforcement is overwhelmed in an emergency/natural disaster/crisis etc

Props to all those doing their part. Businesses are suffering; at least the owners are being lenient; cause fuck, MTR is not moving. How the heck will they go to work.

Once lay offs are coming, it's going to be tough for my friends who has wife and kids to feed. Retail is going down to the shitters, less shifts, less hours.. I can see it being the hardest hit.

Let's not talk about the 2 tunnels that's being affectedd... dangggg

As for all these "students" inside the universities, there AIN'T no school, so you are there to protest / assisting / taking part. Now that the cops are clamping down, and you want to take off your black shirts asking for safe release.. wtffff.

Sometimes less is more. No point entertaining mainland shills like you when it's clear where your loyalty lies. I have better things to do than respond to 50 cent trolls.

Bottom line, Mainland china still doesn't have the balls to do shit and Hong Kong can still enjoy fucking with the CCP with no consequences.

Again your ignorance is shown. The PLA cannot leave their barracks to do anything without the request of the Hong Kong government under the basic law. The government has already stated they did not make any request to the PLA.

But again, I wouldn't expect mainlanders to know anything about Hong Kong law or anything about Hong Kong in general. Just keep repeating the party line.

Anti-mask law ruled unconstitutional by High Court

^^^^ I hope this circulates around the usual mainland media outlet.

The division of power is what make HK distinct from China. This is going to blown some minds on the mainland side.

Major Win for HK and should quash some doubts regarding which side the Court system is on.

I think it is important to clarify that the courts are not on ANY side. They making rulings based on the laws alone. Examples where they sided with the government includes throwing out the lawsuit preventing police from entering university grounds without permission.

HK courts are still fair, which is why I was so pissed when people vandalised the courts.

This is what they're fighting FOR - fairness. Blows my mind that someone would do that.
