Sorry no, I was watching youtube tv's stream of BBC, their hk correspondent was walking around the campus and pointing things, like weapons, out
He tried to interview two protesters too, but the BBC moved onto another story

Yeah I heard they were afraid to leave the campus because of the violence, and probably because they were afraid of the protesters too, now they're branded as protesters, they're fucked, but hopefully their story, and photos, will be helpful in unfucking them

Suicide rates are off the charts in HK.
Also, what happens all the people who get brought to the police station in handcuffs? Do they get a warning and allowed to return home, appear in court on a later date and being kept somewhere like in jail, or get transferred somewhere? |

It was ALWAYS very high in Hong Kong, as it is in most large cities in Asia unfortunately. That's a cultural issue that can be discussed some other time though lol
As for protesters getting arrested, I think most are held for the 48 hour period until charges are laid. Those that are charged will go to court for their arraignment and bail hearing. Those not charged return home. I'm not how many of the >4500 people arrested so far have been criminally charged. Until PolyU, I don't believe they have been blanket charging people with rioting.
The first trials will start some time next year, I think in March or April. Get ready for an insane court crunch when that happens.

Don't know how they will finish off PolyU stand off.
Cops has every right to not let the parents to enter the premise. 100 students estimated, and parents wants to go say hi ...are you shitting me.
No one know what's going on inside and the students aren't coming out. Don't say you're trapped, just walk the fuck out. You are a protester, suck it up, be a hero, and accept the consequences. Are some of them detained and not allowed to go home, I don't know.
this i am pissed as fuck; they took some of the chemicals and started to producing their own firebombs...
20 types of chemicals were reported missing from PolyU, including: 2.5 litres of concentrated sulphuric acid; 1kg (2.2lbs) of sodium metal; a small amount of zinc cyanide; sodium arsenite; hydrochloric acid; and DDT.
FULL size swimming pool to practice how to throw firebombs
taking over the University cafe
Cop are standing put, there is no immediate threat, no case to "attack" and take over PolyU, they will stand ground and its logical to lock down right now.
What is the motive right now? What's the next step? What are they trying to achieve but standing ground right now? Please don't say fighting for HK freedom cause that's BS right now. Just outright vandalizing PolyU.
I don't see how fighting for HK's freedom gives you the right to go to UBC, take over UBC and then try to block off SW Marine drive and or access to say burrard bridge is doing anything.
Some, if not most students who once supported the movement did regret asking the non student protesters to come help out at HKU, I would say it's the same for PolyU.
I cant' imagine if that ever happened to our local university.

They are working on replacing our government, and there are people fighting them in the streets. US refuses to help, and the world is just watching shit go down, hoping it doesn't happen to them next. Many Canadians just want to get by in life as new Russian citizens, so they just put their heads down and work on making money. The Russians aren't even asking them to be patriotic, they just want them to sit tight peacefully while the takeover happens.
Others are putting up fights though, trying to disrupt them as much as possible. Canada's government is still there, but have already given in, and are refusing to do anything for the people. They even put the RCMP out in the streets to stop the violence, some of which are Russian agents. So it's the Canadian citizens fighting Canadian police and Russian soldiers.
In this scenario, some citizens took over UBC since they thought it was a good place to defend. Unfortunately it was poorly planned, and they were routed. Some citizens were hurt, an RCMP officer got a field arrow stuck in his calf, and Trudeau went to visit him in the hospital, calling him a hero. After a few days, the citizens finally gave in, and were taken into custody.
So in that scenario, would you go "tsk tsk, I can't believe they ruined the pool"?
And maybe you would be that person. I am not going to judge you for that. All I want you to do is think for a second. This isn't some fairy tale that is going on in some strange land. This is really happening right now. I noticed that some people here completely lack empathy, and maybe that's normal I don't know. I can't force you to be empathetic or considerate, but I can try to at least make it easier to consider.
Also every time you want make an angry post about damage caused, remember that the HK government is doing NOTHING to address this. The only reaction they have is: more police, more weapons, more violence.
Think about that for 10 seconds before hitting "submit"

District Council election taking place Sunday, I hope that things stay cool enough until then so the government doesn't have the excuse to cancel it.
Fascists are setting up fake pro-dem candidates, in an attempt to cause a vote split. Thankfully word is getting out to the people quite some time beforehand.
Many people are receiving extra bogus ballots. I even got one of our neighbour's ballots. I've seen ballots thrown in the garbage in my village too, so I think some of my other neighbours have gotten extras as well. The counts will have to be highly scrutinized.

Also chose Russia because the Cold War was also a real thing at one time, and politically they are powerful and have been hostile to other sovereign nations recently.

Watch this cop hack away at this person's leg as they were being arrested. Another had to run in to stop him. |

Nah, I think the analogy should serve its purpose well enough. | No a simple explanation will suffice.
How is the relationship between Canada and Russia the same as it is between Hong Kong and China? With its one country two system concept.

Second article had a little kid jumping to their death. | I don't know for sure, but it's probably pretty common for clothes to come off when falling from a great height. Shoes absolutely. Also if you're going to fake suicides, wouldn't you make sure people aren't stripped naked first?
