Actually trying to figure out an issue with my rear brakes that's driving me insane. Seems to be a known issue with the E9x cars so I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone else has experienced or knows what the problem is.
Rear brakes squealing at low speeds (under 40km/h). Usually when moving after a stop, or slowing down to under 40km/h without brakes applied. I know it's not my ebrakes cause got everything changed out recently as everything was seized prior.
E90Post giving mixed comments, but most seem to say it's dust collecting on the rear brake wear sensors causing squealing.

Did you bed the pads in properly? Mine squeal too at times.
Really disappointing to read about ECS and their ways. Pelican was going to be a solid go to source.
Yesterday I had challenges ordering on Pelican with the 10% off. The code they emailed (took longer to arrive then promised) would not work online. After a call and a call back they had to process the order over the phone. Not a great start. Hopefully everything that arrives is OEM and new.

Also it's not when the brakes are being applied, it's when I've lifted my foot off the brakes. Kind of like this.
It's squeaking as you're rolling/off the brake, right? I've got the same thing on my E46. Talking to other BMW owners, it looks like we actually have to sand down the edges of the brake pads. I don't know how this is done, as I've never really bothered to. I believe jackp0t, IG or RS, he has more info on this.

Bimmerworld is also another good vendor/resource. Lots of technical articles and their customer service is pretty good.
Received my Pelican order already. Placed order Monday July 8th and shipped the same day via USPS/Canada post. Arrived at my door Friday July 12th at noon. Front and rear emblems, emblem grommets x4, center caps x4. I did have to pay PST/GST and a $9.95 handling fee. At least they accept credit card at the door rather than having to make a trip to the post office the next day.
You haven't lived until you have struggled with removal of a BMW roundel. It is such a pita to remove that I doubt anyone would ever bother stealing mine. The 1 series trunk roundel has lot of doubled sided tape and required force just to push the two prongs into the two new grommets.
Also I spotted a Daytona violet E36 M3 cab driven hard by a dbag yesterday in Vic. All suited up, blue tooth ear piece, driving it hard through traffic. Great color tho.

Loosened the two bolts to the subframe, retorqued to OEM spec of 56nm and 90degree turn after. Clicking has stopped, if returns I'll be replacing the two bolts.

Try this next time, upon releasing the ebrake drop it into reverse and move back a few inches. Then drive like normal and listen for the noise again. Chances are you have a sticky ebrake.

I'm so stance my roof rack got a roof rack
I occasionally get that on my E90 when I use my hand brake. Generally solved by engaging the hand brake halfway, disengaging it, and fully depressing the brake.
Anyone got tips on cleaning 3 piece wheels, specifically every little screw? I'm looking to apply ceramic coating msyelf, but I gotta make sure it is 100% clean. A regular wash with these wheels is a PITA

What exactly does ceramic coat do for wheels? Does brake dust stick to it less?
Hopefully, that's what it will do or at least make it easier to wash. My stock set of wheels has caked on and baked on brake dust LOL. I'm hoping to keep this set as nice as I can.
You have to get cermamic coat for wheels though, as the temperatures are significantly higher than the body of the car.
Man I hear a lot of BMW owners complain about brake dust on stock pads.. ain't nothing compared to hawk HP+

Akebono's also don't stop as well as OEM pads or Hawk HP+. Unfortunately, living in Richmond, I need it LOL. I'd compile a video of me getting cut off by morons, but that would just be infuriating and a lot of swearing LOL.
I had akebono cermaic euro before, pretty decent pads. But I guess there's always a compromise.

Your best bet would be to take the wheels off and the screws out to get a proper clean.
ECS bought bavauto this year too. They were a super old school co run by knowledgeable dudes that have been in the game forever. Another great resource gone to corporate buyout.
FCP FTW - at least for mail order anyways. You'd be surprised how competitive your local dealer's parts dept has become over the past few years. I usually get what I want, the next day for around the same money compared to the landed doorstep price of US mail orders. (Parkshore). BMWCCBC gets you a further discount too.
Also there's germanparts.ca. Ships from Canada and usually a 5-10% off coupon floating around. Their website sucks, but if you have a part number (realoem) they can usually get it.
Also I haven't seen mention of https://www.bimmerparts.ca/ over on the island (duncan) They're great dudes, tons of wrecker parts and pretty close to you TT.
See all you at German Car Fest this weekend at Waterfront Park. Bring non-perishable food donations with you - this is a huge fund raiser for Harvest Project in North Van.

Haven't been since 2017. No can do this year either. Haven't found a replacement bumper. It's like no one carries mtech 2 front bumper anymore (my factory spec)
