https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mot...evy-debut/amp/

Looks like a f430. Pretty bad ass!!! Base model with some performance package can do sub 3 seconds zero to sixty.

Livestream starts at 8pm tonight https://media.chevrolet.com/nextgencorvette

I see a vent a door and the NSX rear (from side profile).

Attachment 30782

Looks sick tho.

Badhobz 07-18-2019 06:30 PM

is it me or does anyone else think that interior is a wee bit too cramped for your average corvette owner? Where is the passenger suppose to rest their left arm?

Ronac 07-18-2019 06:31 PM

Who designed that row of 30 buttons? That's the dumbest thing I've seen.

Badhobz 07-18-2019 06:37 PM

soooo this for 100k, or GTR for 100k, or base model 911 for 100k?..... damn thats pretty friggin hard choices.

Probably this vette but maybe like 4-5 years down the road so GM gets all the bugs/issues sorted out.

JDMDreams 07-18-2019 07:00 PM

Of course Gtr la

Whatheshrek 07-18-2019 07:02 PM

Why is row of button angled or slanted you literally have to lean over to see what button is what

Badhobz 07-18-2019 07:57 PM

WHAT THE FUCK!!!!! it'll start under 60k USD!!!!?!?!?!?! WHAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I WANT IT! (im watching the live stream)

so probably 80k canadian for 0-60 in under 3 seconds.

How cheap are the c7/c6's gonna be now!?

Nlkko 07-18-2019 08:01 PM

Love the vette. Poor man's supercar.

Interior has never been their strong suit lol.

twitchyzero 07-18-2019 08:07 PM

do i want a 30 year old NSX or a BMW Toyota or a 500hp cab-forward Chevy for 60k

SWEET JESUS what a steal

this might be my next car...not sure if new or wait 10 years for one beat to shit for 25K

You mean towards the driver? The one driving and controlling the car?

The GTR is not 100k anymore. Base is 130k.

Also, are they all 60k or is the good one like the ZR1 100+?

Nlkko 07-18-2019 08:12 PM

ZR1 aint gonna be 60k lol

no you're not gonna get a sub-3s exotic for 60k

but it's still a brand new mid-engine NA sports car that's designed and built like its predecessors for decades, not a badge engineered job

Badhobz 07-18-2019 08:24 PM

well he said the base model will start at under 60k usd. The sub 3 second one is the base + a performance package so probably 70-80k usd.

That being said im very curious as to what kind of numbers the base model will get you. IM sure its no slouch.

Dry Sump lubrication
DCT (to start, manual tranny later)
almost 500hp and 500ft/lb
NA pushrod small block
2 inch front axel lift system (YES!!! thank you)

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. how can you sell this at 60kusd!??!?!

Here's all the chevy 2020 vette playlist

This isnt even the z06 / zr1 yet. This is just the base vette w/ a z51 performance package.

twitchyzero 07-18-2019 08:42 PM

are Tremec's DCT reliable? they're also gonna be in the GT500

hobz once you're done with a c8 z51, i'll take your sloppy seconds

Badhobz 07-18-2019 08:49 PM

So im watching all these youtube vette videos and it looks like the redline is a meager 6500 RPM. I mean i get it small blocks never really rev that high, but i was hoping for more of an exotic screamer

Looks like I need to travel light if I'm going to rent one of these... I rented a couple of C7 convertibles in Vegas and San Fran. I was able to fit 2 overhead luggages + laptop bag.

This looks like it may have room for a back pack... lol

twitchyzero 07-18-2019 09:32 PM

it's pretty generous

Badhobz 07-18-2019 09:48 PM

Dudes, this is the performance bargain of the century. Like base model m3 money will get you 911 turbo performance/Tesla p100d

My only real gripes are with that weirdo cockpit and the low rpm redline. Hopefully it'll sound somewhat exotic since its V8.

!LittleDragon 07-18-2019 10:02 PM

Corvette's been the best bang for your buck sports car for a long time. It's just that being a mostly import forum, people trashed it because push rods and leaf springs... Cheap, fast, reliable... pick two or buy a Corvette.

JDMDreams 07-18-2019 10:43 PM

Are you sure they ain't gonna do the Gtr bait and switch. Didn't there Gtr start at like $65000 and ended up to be like $150,000 now?

!Aznboi128 07-18-2019 11:17 PM

Looks like no more leaf springs. Man the pricing on this is attractive as hell!
