Happy World Radio Day. For the life of me, I couldn't imagine lasting a single day of picking strawberries on the Richmond farms, without my trusty Sony AM/FM radio. The heat, the boredom, listening to Ching Chong, Ling Long, Ting Tong in a smelly farm vehicle that wouldn't have passed any kind of safety test. 3 ton truck with nailed down benches, no seat belts, or windows. Smelly old ladies who probably never took a bath.......... Listening to CKLG helped me zone out. https://www.un.org/en/observances/radio-day In the winter evenings, listening to the Canucks play on CKNW. Back when they were in the Western Hockey League.
