Summer Solstice today. Longest day of the year. Hot all week, to boot.

Happy Friday, the 13th, RS!

No worries, as long as you're not a christian.

The Knights Templar! Everytime I hear that, I think of Roger Moore, who played Simon Templar in The Saint.

A very sad day today. 9-11. I remember how devastating it was for many. We all watched in shock and horror. I don’t care what the reason was behind the attacks, there’s no excuse for what they did. I went to see ground zero years later and it was eerie. Rest In Peace. Namo Amida Butsu. As for those behind the planning and executing the attacks, may Lucifer spare no mercy. 1001 screams for every victim and those who survived and were affected by it. And please, don’t tell us about how millions died in other places and situations, blah, blah, blah. Today is the day we mourn those who perished and those who fought tirelessly to find missing persons on this day 20 years ago.

i remember when CNN went on a fucking rampage replaying the videos of people jumping...hitting light posts & the hard ground with one of the deepest thumps of sound.

they finally stopped later but damn they knew raw graphic content.

also i don't know who the fuck had telegraphic camera lens getting close-ups of these people in mid air cause i remember one office lady in her work clothes going down in hi-def photo one high heel on going down in a black blur flying down.

Wow.......... just watched Star Trek Strange New Worlds. I think this is gonna be gooooooooddddd...........

I'm not getting into Picard that much. Discovery is just way too out there, even for spaceships.

Hopefully they don't do dumb shit like introduce the Borg and the Q. Q is such bullshit. Just my 2 bits............ and please, for the love of god...... no Guinan......... claws out, lol.

Agreed, I love Picard

I was really loving Discovery for a long time too... but suddenly the characters and storyline just got so forced into virtue signaling I got tired of it... should go back and give it another chance to see if it got smoother.

I mean, Star Trek has always been about advancing social issues, many examples of that... but I think the older shows had way slicker writing that made it more natural somehow.

Wesley's cameo was kinda lame, basically advertising for a spinoff I think... addressing a storyline from ST:NG that was never completed

Q and Guinan were great... young Guinan was fire... at first Q annoyed me but in the end it turned out to culminate in a very sweet and touching moment.

The hug was so touching........... I agree. And, the young Guinan was good, but I just dislike whooped up goldberg.

Wesley is coming back in season three of Picard. As far as I know......... anyway.

Seven of Nine........... what can I say? She'd be hot in her 80's................ maybe. Borg implants, ftmfw!

It's interesting you guys like Picard. The trekie nerds on Youtube and online have been wrecking that show saying it's terrible, woke garbage.
