That is correct, I have gone through this a few times over past couple of years. My gf didn't want to lose her plate so she waited for her insurance to expire to put it in storage. She did ask if there was anyway to keep the plate before it expired while storing the car and they said you could go with the bare minimum insurance to keep your plate.

You can keep your plates if you let them expire before putting storage on, I've been doing that for years.

Based on my experience you are greatly overestimating the savings associated with a multiple vehicle discount.

My most recent experience in Alberta with the multiple vehicle discount was savings of roughly $400/year on a policy worth just over $5000/year.

It's been 14 years since I lived in Onterrible, but the multivehicle discount was significant. Having said that, the way they treat modified vehicles insurance-wise makes our current VI issues seem like NOTHING. I wouldn't trade back for anything in the world. ICBC has it's problems, but it's nowhere near as horrible as the Ontario "you dont' actually haven insurance" system.

..so much fun! Insured for 3 months. No accidents. Timing belt service already done. Paint needs some TLC but this thing is so damn sexy.

Congrats, didn't you have one of these tls before? I was sort of looking into them as a cheap manual daily. But I though they were pigs on gas and I was sort of leaning more to TSX for the more JDM ness and the vtecs

Yes...the 6MT is much better for fuel Econ than the 5AT TLs but it does need premium juice. This is my 2nd TL-S 6MT.. it’s such a great all around sedan. Had to have another one.

Most likely It was checked into adesa auction, auctioned off to curber/public. Carproof was pulled at time of auction where they declare there are accidents on the vehicle.
