Lend me your badges!

Hey folks,

I'm embarking on a design project right now to produce high quality digital reproductions of some of the cool badges and decals that appeared on a ton of Japanese cars in the 70s, 80s and early 90s. Basically none of this stuff is being preserved or reproduced in a comprehensive way, so I'm going to do my best to do some of the graphic design work required to make that happen. When they're done they could be turned into t-shirts or keychains or whatever if people are into that, but for now I just want to get the digital reproductions made.

If you have a parts stash that contains some cool badges, please let me borrow them and scan them so I can use them as a reference to trace the reproduction from! Right now my biggest wants are an R32/33/34 GT-R badge and the "Rotary Engine" badge that came on RX-3/4/5s and series 1 RX-7s, but really I'll take anything from Japan from the 70s/80s/90s. (The only exception is that I'm not currently looking for make badges, ie. the ones that just say "Honda" or "Toyota" or whatever. Specific model badges, weird/cool trim level badges, or those ridiculous descriptive decals that say stuff like "turbo intercooled" or whatever are what I'm after.)

Hit me up in the replies or via PM if you've got some stuff you think fits the bill - I'll happily provide the finished vector file to anyone who lends me badges!

Yeah I'm sure tons of Japanese auto manufacturers are jealously guarding the trade dress rights of their badges from 30+ years ago, lest someone on the internet reproduce them for entirely non-commercial purposes.

Eeuhhh back in high school a bunch of us jackasses used to jack emblems and stick them on our wallets. Those days are gone now and I don’t think I have any red Acura emblems left.
