I was looking at that one too, should I be getting a SSD or is a HDD good enough? SSD cost per TB is very high.

I got it just for the occasional PS4 games that i still play, leaving the PS5 internal SSD specifically for PS5 games. Eventually new SSDs will come out that will be compatible with the PS5 for playing and storing games, but keep in mind the cost will even be higher.

Friend was able to purchase one off the Walmart site. It crashed right at launch and re opened around 8:20am

I had 2 computers 3 screens trying Walmart EB games and game stop plus 2 other people trying and no go. I was able to add one to the Gamestop cart but could not check out.

Well, I managed to score a PS5 from the BestBuy online sale today. It was a major pain in the ass to do though. I spent an hour in a waiting screen when I noticed that when you go to the console page, it would temporarily show the add to cart button in yellow before it redirects you to the waiting page. I ended up stopping the page from loading anymore right before it redirects you and added it to my cart that way. After that, my cart loaded up right away with the PS5 in it and I was able to go through the hoops of checking out (albeit with a few more page refreshes).

So happy to finally have the stress over and done with. Now I just have to wait for it to ship out...

Don't get too excited until they actually ship it lol, people have been fucked before with cancellations after the fact.

I also got one at Bestbuy online on Thursday. I already had one in my cart but they removed it 20 minutes before it went live and the product page changed from "coming soon" to "sold out online". That is the indicator that they're getting ready to drop. So I kept refreshing every 30-60 secs and 20 minutes later it went live. I added it back to my cart and was in the waiting room for about 20 seconds and checked out after that. From start to finish it took about 90 seconds since I had to do the MasterCard SecureCode thing and that took up the majority of the time waiting for the code to arrive on my phone.

It is schedule to be delivered today :D

XBOX Series X has 2 modes, both have higher crowd sizes than PS5
Quality Mode: 1512p - 1728p, locked to 30 fps, ambient occlusion enabled
Performance Mode: 1080p, 60 fps, AO disabled, less stable FPS than PS5

PS5 has 1 mode:
60 fps, 1180p resolution (down to 50 fps while driving), AO disabled

XBOX Series S
1080p - 1296p, 30 fps locked, ambient occlusion enabled (basically quality mode at 30 fps and lower res), some dips while driving

Overall- The game uses TAA heavily, which is why it looks so blurry at lower resolutions. Every bump in res makes a pretty significant difference. Might be worth tweaking on PC and use DSR if you have a 1080p or 1440p monitor

BestBuy have stock right. I made it to checkout but didn’t place the order. I just wanted to see how easy it would be. Took about 90 secs from adding to the cart, waiting in the queue, doing the captcha, then to the check out screen.

They are using captcha now just before check out. I had to pick out all pictures with stairs in them and did that for 3 rounds. I didn't get a screen shot of that.
