Kinda doubt they would go strictly exclusive. They would lose tonnes of money overall you’d have to think unless their plan is basically to force people to buy consoles
I play COD Warzone quite a bit and it’s cross platform. Seems like 90% of players are PC or PS

There is an excellent 6 or 7 part series on YouTube about the Xbox, it’s actually done by Xbox/Microsoft so it has a bunch of behind the scenes stuff and insider interviews etc. well worth the watch even if you’re not into Xbox. The amount of times it was nearly cancelled and to see what it has become today is crazy.

I think their plan is to get Game Pass everywhere, so that it's basically an app and they don't care if you buy an XBox they just want that subscription money. Everyone thought buying Bethesda for 7.5 billion was huge, but this ensures they are all in on making Game Pass work. Its going to interesting to see who they buy next.
It ain't good for Sony that's for sure, they can't compete with cold hard cash buyouts of huge studios.
game pass is pretty dope. I was gonna buy halo infinite, back 4 blood + the new rainbow 6 extraction on release day but they ended up being day 1 release on the game pass. even the new Forza was on there. there was a promotion a few months back that gave you 4 months of game pass ultimate for $2 which is a steal. (regular 1 month for game pass ultimate is $17)
I have the razer kishi controller in my manbag for on the go xbox cloud gaming which works pretty dope.
I also got the moga xbox controller clip so I could use that as well for portable on the go.
looking into getting a type-c to hdmi adapter to pair it with my phone so I could hook it up to pretty much any TV and have a portable gaming setup.
I posted this in the other thread as well
you can get 1 month pc game pass for a dollar + add 1 month xbox game pass ultimate for another $1 which gives you 2 months of PC/XBOX/CLOUD/MOBILE gaming for $2 (make sure you buy it in that order. it will convert the 1 month PC pass into 2 months ultimate, which is also good for phone+pc+xbox)
this is gonna be dope in the future when all the Blizzard/Activision games are on game pass.
btw theres also a trick way to convert 12 months regular xbox live (up to 3 years) into 1-3 years of xbox game pass ultimate for a extra dollar if you havent done this promotion before or if ur subscription is expired.
even cheaper if you buy the XBL year subscription key off a third party website or costco and then convert it.

We went through this when they bought Bethesda. They didn't spend $70 BILLION just to be a games publisher for Sony. New titles will be exclusive. There may be ones being worked on now that already have existing contracts with Sony, like Deathloop by Bethesda.
Don't expect them to say anything of the sort though, until the deal is closed next year. Every statement will be vague so people will keep trying to speculate until that happens, just like with Bethesda
After looking through what they actually acquired I'm surprised to see I haven't really played any of these games except one of the Diablos at a buddies house some years ago. I honestly thought I played more games by them.

Yes, Activision has been stagnant for years, Blizzard too. And they have been getting worse and worse with all the employees finally fighting the harassment they'd been going through. A sale was probably the only way to salvage a once great company (by that I mean great products, not profit)
And probably the main reason it was so expensive was due to the mobile platform, which isn't even listed here
But with a complete overhaul from MS, I can see them switching focus from what they've been doing (garbage sequels every year) into each game being a big deal again. Activision owned all these IPs but won't touch them unless they can make a $100 million game out of them. Microsoft wants a ton of content though, and there will be studios of all sizes clamoring to make games based on these beloved IPs. Staff will be able to work in a safe and comfortable environment, and creative leads can be creative again.
It won't be immediate, but I have hope for Activision after years of being hopeless, and 2 years of actual boycotting to the point I deleted their launcher completely and never looked back.
Honestly, I don't have much faith in this transaction.
Blizzard has not been on par with their past performance in their latest games, more than anything they were milking old franchises and not exactly doing a good job either. You can go as far as saying Blizzard is kinda in decline where many of the original talents have already left the company.
M$ being M$... who had managed ruin many things such as Skype and LinkedIn, doesn't exactly have a stellar record of turning things around. In fact, if Skype and LinkedIn is any guidance, they would likely just leave it there to rot after whatever initial push they do after acquisition.
we'll see what they do with CoD and OW...
a lot of OW players are not optimistic with OW2 which was delayed...personally i don't like the idea of 5v5 for that game.
Rockstar used to be great until online play came along, now it's all they care about since it's probably what makes them the most cash. For someone who usually only plays a game for the single player campaign it's pretty shitty that it now takes 10+ years for a new GTA
Yup but Sony will need a new CEO or a total change of how they do business for that to ever happen. They have been so anti competitive for years, the result of which is why Microsoft needed to spend $70 billion to become the #3 largest gaming company, and going all in on Game Pass which is a huge loss leader (something to keep in mind when people think they will publish all their games on Sony).
I bought it recently without thinking anything of it (before I got a PS5), i was just bored one friday, walked up to the local game store and bought a used copy, I was expecting hack slash leveler style game, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Then when I got the PS5, it blew me away, it is now an open world style game, but its not required that you do all the open world activities to be able to progress through the game, they are mostly just mini storylines that you can play though. The story flows very well.
I have high hopes for Ragnarok.
