Yeah with the buzz God of War was getting I was worried that they'd allow a travesty to take place, but they had some sense in the end.

Really looking forward to Jedi Survivor, Zelda, Baldur's Gate, and Hades 2

But Starfield more than anything. I'm ready to donate my life to that game lol

People were saying Sony bribed everyone for GOW :lol

Yeah, totally forgot about Starfield. Thank god I have Game Pass.

:ilied:

I tried the XBOX streaming app earlier with the new update on my Samsung TV. It's actually pretty amazing and I didn't feel much lag if any at all.

Hondaracer 12-09-2022 12:46 AM

Pretty sure my computer isn’t even gonna turn on anymore the full Baldurs gate is finally released lol..

mikemhg 12-09-2022 11:12 AM

I still haven't played a game outside of CP2077 on my PS5...

I'll probably redo Witcher 3 with the next gen update here but the horizon of games for PS5 isn't getting me excited.

I didn't even bother with GOW2 as it didn't sound as good as I thought it was going to be (at the end of the day it's still a PS4 game).

I'm only looking forward to Starfield, it doesn't sound like Sony is getting any other exclusives on that level?

radeonboy 12-09-2022 11:39 AM

Finally unboxed my PS5 again to play NFS Unbound. Only a few hours in but I'm liking the progression so far compared to Payback which felt like it was designed for microtransactions.

Most of Sony exclusives are going to be big budget basic bitch 3rd person cinematic action games. God of War, Horizon, Last of Us, stuff like that. Games with the most mainstream appeal, but also the quickest to get bored of (IMO)

Mr.Money 12-10-2022 06:25 PM

more amazed Playstation titles are going PC.

Last of Us Part 1.

should be epic for the 4k gamers. tried god of war on 4k oled.... my lord.. seeing every detail on clothing like a movie. :fuckyea:

roastpuff 12-10-2022 08:51 PM

So I set up the Series X and connected it to my OLED.... wow.

Forza Horizon 5 looks better on the OLED than on my PC monitor by far.

sonick 12-10-2022 10:41 PM

OLED makes everything look so f'n good

The new NFS is on sale for some weird reason, picked it up for $50 with a gift card.

It's not terrible.

Only played an hour or so, but the map is cool, graphics are really good, customizations are also actually pretty good. The 'anime' cell-shaded is gimmicky, but somewhat endearing.

Handling is still meh but not unacceptable (i mean, it's NFS); though apparently cop chases are super hard later in the game, though not there yet.

Hondaracer 12-21-2022 07:38 AM

New CoD has pretty crazy graphics, finally feeling a bit next gen although so far the game feels like just an interactive movie

roastpuff 12-21-2022 08:47 AM

Don't all CoDs feel like an interactive movie?

mikemhg 12-21-2022 09:50 AM

It's a little different now, they've really done some great work with the COD engine.

The graphics and physics are top-notch and it's well optimized.

It's a shame I don't play FPS games anymore. My skills on controller are garbage, although you can use Mouse/Keyboard on console, don't care enough to set it up.

Haven’t played one since maybe world at war? So not sure lol

roastpuff 12-21-2022 12:38 PM

The last few MWs definitely felt like an action movie that you can take part in, especially with the cutscenes and stuff.

Hondaracer 12-22-2022 02:04 PM

Man that CoD game was not worth $90 lol..

On regular difficulty there was like 4.5-5 hours of game play..

GLOW 12-22-2022 02:30 PM

i'm out of the loop, the CoD you're talking about is the one you pay $ for that looks amazing, not the free one - Warzone?

i don't think i'll pay for a CoD game. between the game itself and paying for a membership to play online, rather stick to overwatch2 and warzone

are there still any places around the metrotown area to check out cheap xb1 games?

i've been checking the bargin bin at eb games, walmart, and LD, i did pick up a cheap anime rpg from LD

Hondaracer 12-22-2022 02:32 PM

Yea the new modern warfare 2

The new Warzone 2.0 though is awesome for a free multiplayer

is the new WZ2 still large maps, campers galore, or did they move it towards more of a black ops type of environment? i long miss BO1 and 2. I enjoyed those CoD games the best.

Hondaracer 12-23-2022 02:35 PM

WZ2 feels completely different than WZ1

There is still only the one massive map right now, battle royale style but some friends and I were playing today and we all agreed the new version feels so much more real and the way you approach combat feels like you would in real life as opposed to that just run run run style of WZ1 and previous games

There are some cool new features which add to that feel like having a backpack saving surplus items, vehicles work differently. You run out of fuel and have to go to gas stations etc. also can carry Jerry cans for extra fuel lol

It’s so much more in depth of a game as WZ1 its very impressive. Super fun if you have friends to play with. The proximity chat is hilarious too, not sure if other shooters have utilized sonthing similar in the past but it’s brilliant

The PS5 God of War bundle is available at most Best Buy locations right now for those still looking to purchase. I walked into Granville Best Buy this morning and bought one.

It seems most people buy CoD for the online aspect I'm surprised they even have a campaign anymore. Definitely not loving how more and more games are geared towards online play rather than a proper story mode.

Hondaracer 12-24-2022 11:20 AM

The thing is, Warzone 2.0 is free regardless of if you buy the game or not

Hondaracer 02-24-2023 08:24 PM

If you’re into Harry Potter or even GTA games Hogwarts Legacy is pretty crazy

They made an almost perfect Wizarding world game with maybe better graphics than Cyberpunk. The map and hogwarts are amazing

MarkyMark 02-24-2023 09:52 PM

My wife has been playing Hogwarts Legacy and she's taken over my PS5 since then and that's saying something cause she usually refuses to try anything on PlayStation.

I never really got into Harry Potter so I doubt I'll play it but it looks like they did a decent job. The graphics are ok but certain things like the grass and trees outside look a lot less detailed compared to when I played Horizon a few months back.
