I honestly wouldn't put too much hope on MS. MS is known to kinda destroy good devs because of its old school corporate environment. It has bought several devs (both games and software), and I can't recall anything that turned out to be better after MS ownership. Furthermore, supposedly any XBox games would come to PC. If you have a decent PC already, the point to get a Serie X just to play XBox exclusives is null. |
I mean, you could say that about almost any large developer that acquires significant amounts of IP and smaller studios. |

Of course, a solid gaming rig is going to cost a lot more than a console, though. |

As for me, I'm just going to get the PS5 first, and Serie X when I see games I want to play... mainly because I'm into Japanese games and PS is so far ahead on that part it's not even funny. |

It turned out that my wife actually managed to reserve a PS5 the day pre-order went live. :fuckthatshit: Just found out today... so now we have 2. If anyone wants it, they can have it for cost on day 1. Pickup in South Surrey area. This is the disk version. Please no scalpers. Only genuine gamers who'd swear not to resale. Just trying to help fellow RSers. |
Wife her again. |

everyone wants the new consoles ps5 or xbox because its the latest and greatest tech.. the real question is,is there any Killer apps?.. yeah we had the overplayed halo series already last gen ...cyber punk in 4k perhaps?...that's the only thing i can think of. |
There's nothing yet. Don't be in a big hurry to get one |
Flight Simulator will likely be a big seller for Xbox |
Now that AMD have announced their RDNA2 cards, XBOX came out and announced this |
Not surprising since AMD has always been for open-source. BTW, what television are you guys planning on using with your new console? I am thinking of getting one that supports 4K 120Hz. Was thinking of getting the Sony X900H, but I just saw the other day that 4K 120Hz has a slight blur to it. Supposedly not noticeable when using it for gaming or movies, but it's noticeable if you plan on connecting a computer to it. Not that big of a fan of Samsung because Game Mode compromises on visual quality to get the lower input lag and the more noticeable blooming compared to the Sony. I like the LG CX, but the 65" is mad money.. and the burn-in risks and potential headaches with ABL. The BX is a bit cheaper, but it doesn't seem worth it for the picture quality trade-off and port selection for the miniscule amount of savings. |
Nice little demo of ray tracing reflections in Watch Dogs 3 |
LG CX is one of the top tier for OLED with the crispy blacks, watching dark scene movies are a huge game changer with it wasn't super worried about burn-in since i rarely do 8 hour gaming session's That's where you will run into issues with game menu on the screen that long. if you love you're movies,LG CX all day. |
Anyone get shipping notices for their Xbox series X preorders? I got a shipping confirmation email yesterday, seems a bit early |
