It's been great so far. Plenty of cargo space (I can fit my road bike without removing the wheels with the 50/50 seats folded down) as well as interior space.

I also love the interior as well. It's quite an achievement for the designers to be able to incorporate all the different material elements together in such a small package.

I was looking at an i3 a little while ago. I like them quite a bit but will be scared if I didn't get the REX model with range of about 100km in the cold.

It's on the to-do list for sure. I was never drawn to motorcycles until this scooter. It is such a gateway drug. I am aiming to get a classic Honda CB750 or one of the early naked Goldwings. Currently, I am shopping for a Japanese market 50cc Honda Dio or Tact scooter to import since their aftermarket is way more vast than this Aero 80.

I have tons of experience downhill mountain biking so two wheels is not foreign to me, but with an engine between your legs it is a completely different experience. I have been doing the "fun" roads on the scooter that I normally do in my cars, and it is so much more enjoyable Lol.

^ I picked up a ruckus a couple years ago, and coming from the downhill MB has messed me up for the brakes, I want to swap the controls as I almost ditched it trying to grab all the rear and locked up the front instead

I was looking into one before I got the M2.. yes i know two opposite cars. I was surprised to see that for the model 3, the brake rotors (centric) were only ~$50 each on rockauto. After reading a bunch of forums most of them notice very little brake pad/rotor wear as the regenerative braking uses the electric motor to slow down the car. An example from the tesla motor club forum: "I can't tell you yet how long the rear pads last on my Model S, but I just replaced the fronts at 303,000km."

I’m driving a 2020 X Long range and the amount of regenerative braking these motors give is really strong. It’s amazing how much I don’t use the pad brakes even if I’m driving spiritedly and needing to slow down right after. I can see the only times I really need pad brakes are if a car cuts me off/pedestrian runs out unexpectedly or if I’m needing to stop at a light down a very steep hill. I do notice that when I come to a stop using just the right pedal, the parking brake shows up in the speedo using pad brakes to keep the vehicle from rolling if on an grade but I never feel it sticking as I throttle....it just launches and takes off like a silent scared kitty. lol

^^ usually called ‘brake hold’ which most modern automatics with electric parking brakes have. Should be able to turn that off. Usually a seperate system from hill-assist

Yup. Our 5 series has that. I use it when I’m slightly tired in traffic. Just in case....at least it keeps me held in place. lol. After swapping rear rotors and pads last weekend I see how the electronic parking brake/brake hold works. Gone is the drum parking brake. So if you have no rear brakes left or heat faded pads, you have no rear emergency brake. lol

The new "brake hold" on Tesla works a bit different than others.

In a Tesla, assuming you time your distance right, one only needs to use the accelerator pedal. Once you let go of the pedal, the regen will go all the way down to 0, and then the car would stop and hold until one puts down the accel pedal again.

It's actually really comfy once you get used to it and feel lazy having to go between gas/brake all the time.

Tesla eases off on the regen just before the stop just like how we learned how to ease off brake pressure to stop smoothly. So it comes to a perfect full regen stop!

Untitled by GhstRidr, on Flickr

My instagram has been inundated with 996 aero cars lately. Many of them are on their original sport design wheels. My car came w a set, but I've never tried em out.

They look good! I'd like to run some spacers just to shove em out a bit.
