Family and friends trip in Sooke this weekend. Roads in Sooke are very windy and hilly. It would be a fun drive with another car.

^ Yes! Also keep going past Sooke to Port Renfrew then east to Lake Cowichan. It’s a wild 3 hour roller coaster ride but watch out for dips.

nd is more livable despite being more cramped so ap1 sits esp with the pandemic messing up my plans for it

the trunk in the s2 is technically bigger but with doughnut and the dog legs they're quite comparable

first drive in the rescue corrado

Untitled by GhstRidr, on Flickr

just around the yard until the brakes get another bleed.

lots of work over the past 2 weekends to get the motor swapped, manual conversion, ABS system deleted and the OB2 conversion.

Finally have the corrado I've always wanted. A late model in dark burgundy pearl w factory recaro interior. Clean enough to enjoy but not feel bad about modding. This thing was in the brink of a part out - soooo worth saving.

I did that trip last week (from Nanaimo to Vic via Port Renfrew) in my Mini JCW. Holy crap the road from Renfrew to Jordan River is bumpy. Sports mode was out of the question, and even with that it was a roller coaster ride.

The road from Lake Cowichan to Port Renfrew is better but it's basically an active paved logging road. Those logging trucks do suddenly appear in the middle of the road.Still somewhat bumpy, but fun. I wouldn't take anything too tightly sprung on there.

Overall while bumpy, there weren't any potholes.

Was this the one that lived on Westminster highway in Richmond? I noticed that car was missing last week. If this is the car, how did you buy it? Knock on door or was it advertised?

nope - although I was told this was formerly a richmond car, I found it in van proper off of main st.

owner bought it, and the project got out of hand for him pretty quickly. No space to work so it sat in his parents garage.

Worked on it again last night. Still needs another brake bleed - might have to bench bleed the master. Got the ignition sorted out w a new lock cyl, got the brake lights working. Stoked on progress! insurance this weekend I hope.
