Good Lawyer for Icbc??

Long story short I was rear ended couple years ago and I'm nearing my two year since accident date. I've finished my treatment from physio and I've since been discharged but I'm still affected by pain from the accident. any suggestions or experiences on what to do at this point? Should I find a lawyer? If so any good recommendations? Any support is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We used them when my mom had her accident:
Lawyers at McComb Witten Marcoux | McComb Witten Marcoux

I can't recall what their cut was, but it was pretty steep (maybe around 30-40% of the claim, but I could be wrong). However, considering that we had no clue what to do and was more preoccupied with my mother's condition than the claim since she nearly escaped death. They made the process manageable by taking care of the legal side for us as well as ensuring that we got as much support out of the recovery process as possible.

I'd say give them a call. Consultation is free and is the case for most of these firms.

Sorry about your situation, OP. Does discharged means the claim is settled?

We got a lawyer right away. We went with Diamond & Diamond Lawyers. Only had to deal with one correspondence from ICBC, and everything goes through the lawyer. We did the allocated rehab, but we are still experiencing pain and discomfort. No worries. Lawyer hooked us up with more sessions. When those run out and we're still not 100%, we gonna get more sessions until we healed or can't get any better. The lawyer's cut of the settlement is 33%, I think. Worth it. Fuck ICBC.

^^ discharged as in from physio. My claim is still on going, as I recall there was something about you have 2 years from the accident to get a lawyer?

Well the reason why I was waiting this long was I was still on treatment on and off, every few months I had to go to the doctor again and wait for Icbc approval to get more physio sessions. Which delayed things as sometimes I wouldn't get any treatment for over a month. I did briefly speak to one lawyer long time ago but I don't recall much of the details, it was right after my accident and I didn't even start my treatment yet.

Retain lawyer ASAP and have the court filing done. If the 2 year mark passes, the limitation act bars your claim. You can always switch lawyers afterwards too. Personal injury lawyers, by law, can't charge you more than 33%.

Rice Harbut Elliott

Slater Vecchio

These are two law firms I've worked with and they're pretty top notch.

Also regarding the pain, the pain won't be going away since the pain has been ongoing the last 2 years (chronic pain). You'll just have to find ways to manage it.

Legally they can only take 35% or less I believe. Anything more would get them disbarred.

t. I had a 13 year case and lawyer took 33% of the final settlement.

You're likely right about the percentage for the claim. But after all the small fees and nickle and diming, they took around that much from what I recall.
