you can get everything you need from small local stores, with the added benefit of keeping small business moving.
walmart, superstore, costco. I can hardly think of any reason I had to go there before all this, now - I'll never shop in there again.
I was trying to avoid Costco at all costs but I needed a new car battery and a few other things I like from Costco so went today.
I give Costco huge credit as they have seemingly been ahead of the social distancing, wiping down carts, organizing lines for tills etc. Everywhere else I’ve been such as Lowe’s, Canadian tire, save on etc have been shit shows with no one providing guidance etc.
All the “small” stores aren’t equal and frankly you really see these days how shit the quality is of the produce of some of the small ma and pa stores people go to to save a dime. The difference between say a Donald’s and the small Asian Grocer beside them is stark and I’d probably rather go without produce than buy most of theirs.

The issue with small stores is that there isn't enough space to respect physical distance. I would say that in my experience in shopping during the pandemic is that probably only half of the people in stores actually are consciously keeping their distance. I hate to say it, but
older folks have been the most oblivious. Costco is big enough so you can avoid others. They also have a very good supply chain, so you can pretty much get everything you need as long as you go early enough during the day.
Now with the chief medical officer giving the go ahead with masks, what I fear is that people will put on masks and not respect physical distancing, which still remains the most effective way to prevent the spread.
Literally no one has said this. Piss off with your alt-right talking points.
Prejudice plus power. Where have I heard that nonsense before?
Certainly not an "alt right" concept.

I think if there's anyone (by virtue of observation only) Hondaracer is the only person who goes through car batteries like no tomorrow, and almost always gets it from that cesspool Costco. What are you doing to your cars? Running a grow op out of them?

Lol
Problem recently is going through different cars and buying batteries for them and then selling them. G37 seemingly had the original OEM battery or at the very least an old Nissan replacement (no install date or manufacturer date on it) so It was an AC Delco from Lordco or the Kirkland for $30 cheaper so opted for that
But maybe you’re on to somthing lol

Clearly I'm doing something wrong. I'll have to start buying batteries for my cars (not from Costco, nice try, Hondaracer!) and selling the cars immediately.

WASHINGTON — 3M says it will continue to send its coveted N95 respirators to Canada after reaching an agreement with the White House to import millions of the increasingly scarce medical face masks from China for use in the United States.

^^ Trump just bullies his way and it works I guess. I wonder with CoVID19 hitting the states so hard how's voting going to work? Will will see record low voters turn out this year?

The other replies are cool, but the one you screenshot isn't exactly cool. But I suppose dark humour is like a mask, not everyone gets it.

If it's one of 3M's factories, I wouldn't be too worried about the quality. Things like iPhone are made in China so things can be good if there are QA in place.
There were probably tens of thousands of no name brands/factories that popped up after the demand rose, so governments just ordered from whoever that had anything. Supposedly the Chinese government is trying to implement some QA before they are exported. I would think they are taking it more seriously since it's has to do with a country's image.
There's also a picture of a fish and the words 'a new drug for treating fish disease'. Last I checked, we are currently not fish. Anyone who would consume from that bottle, I will personally mail a Darwin award to.
Some investigative journalism has been done since that story and it's showing that story to be quite 'fishy' but I don't expect the MSM to ever update this story again though as they are vultures, not storks.
Anyway, I'd rather the outrage shift back to malpractice that got us here.
The woman from this story hated her husband and has a voting record long supporting Democrats? They decide to twist Trump's words and he ends up dead? Fishy indeed.
New York now using hydroxychloroquine, under the guidelines of the American Thoracic Society, based on international case studies, for severely affected patients. https://nypost.com/2020/04/06/medica...irus-patients/
The Orange Man Bad crowd would rather this drug fail and people die, in order to dunk on Trump.
What the lamestream media is neglecting to cover in regards to ppe is that China bought up massive amounts of it internationally, before other government's had any idea how far this would spread.
and now China is essentially the only major supplier
China's thumb. Firmly placed.

Yeah I didn't pick the best one, just the one I thought some people would like
As for 3M from China yes I know... China can manufacture as high or low quality as anyone in the world, it's just a matter of paying enough, and trusting they keep the standards once they're not being watched. Once again I was j/k. I guess my humor isn't resonating this morning

call up the dealership they may pricematch the large retailers to get business

About time we issue tickets? 700 warnings is quite excessive after three weeks of the same message of staying home. I tend to worry when the weather is nice knowing everyone has this bright idea of all showing up at the same parks and beaches.

I'm really tired of these people who are just out and about enjoying the weather in large groups, warnings are just litter, start handing out actual tickets, they love handing out useless VIs so why not when it makes sense
