I’m not taking some vaccine developed in 6 months period. Even over a year or more it’s obviously rushed and untested.
I’ll take my chances with natural immunity or relying on herd immunity. I’ve never had a flu shot in my life, I haven’t been seriously ill or missed a day of work because having a cold/flu in the past 10 years or so. I’ll take my chances
As these newer studies come out suggesting infection VS mortality may be far higher than originally assumed and again, the vast majority of serious cases and deaths are elderly and people with underlying health issues, I think it’s going to be far more likely that they develop an effective treatment in a timely manner as opposed to mass vaccination.
Look at BC, almost every person that’s died from the virus is from a long term care home. Have fun convincing people they need the vaccine

But you have had your MMR shots and I'm sure you've been happy to be measles free.
I'm not in favour of a mandatory immunization for something thats hastily developed either, but no developed country is going to force that on you. They can't release a vaccine thats untested, and of course that doesn't mean that there aren't risks. There are risks with all types of medicine we take. Kidney issues from Advil, adverse mental health effects from antidepressants, danger of dependancy from opiates, but the world without medications means we just deal with these illnesses and leave them untreated. Theres a reason people live longer now, and it's not luck.

The problem with previous vaccines is that they were developed over time on the back burner for most companies or done by individuals for the better good of humanity
There is going to be an incredible windfall for a company that develops a effective vaccine for this. Look at Gilead today. They developed a treatment that resulted in a portion of patients treated being released from hospital in 11 as opposed to 15 days, and China is saying its completely ineffective in their studies, however with Dr. fauci today saying it’s been effective and looks promising and the release of their trial results today the company jumped almost 10%

Honestly it is scary to think of the money involved, and the tactics that pharmaceutical companies may use. I however, know people who have worked their whole adult lives in labs, developing cancer treatments and other medications who along with their fellow biomedical engineers and employers have saved countless lives and never gotten "fuck you" rich off of it. Not all pharmaceutical companies are scum, we just hear about it a lot due to the shit that goes on in America, where health is one of the lowest priorities for their population.

There are definitely people who believe this, including people I absolutely trust for solid information on other aspects of vaccines, nutrition, etc...
Sometimes you just have to realize that not everyone is 100% perfect with their way of thinking, even if they get it right most of the time. You just have to filter out the good info they provide, and ignore the rest.

Part of the "vaccine conspiracy" that I do believe in is the pharmas are chasing after it, knowing it will be a huge financial benefit for them. This goes for any med of course, but if they can potentially make something that every country HAS to buy, the results are obvious. So far almost everyone has acted like the most important thing in the world right now is dealing with the virus. Not everyone though; for them the most important thing is how to make money from it.
A treatment like this is likely to be even more effective (remember when I posted how vaccines work - and how they don't work) but won't make as much money, soooo...

you dont take flu-type vaccines to protect yourself if you're young and healthy, it's for herd immunity in the population

I get what you're saying. And that's definitely valid..when it comes to measles. Since there is a segment of the population who can't take the vaccine through no fault of their own.
But if left to choice, i think it's obvious that not everyone is going to decide not to take it. Even if just the 60% of the population who'd be in favor of mandatory vaccination took it, that would probably be about enough for herd immunity.
I mean, the measles vaccination is voluntary, and i think like 80-90% of the population is vaccinated. Something like that. It's enough for herd immunity anyways.
All hypothetical, of course. Since there's no vaccination. And I HIGHLY doubt it'd ever be imposed as mandatory.

Parking should've never been free. Parking around CoV is already bad enough when people had to pay for parking, so making it an absolute free for all made no sense whatsoever.
The only place they should've had free parking is at the hospital. Have every employee that drives to work get some sort of signed VGH/MSJ/St Paul's letterhead printed stating that they're an actual healthcare worker and be done with it.
