NY Times, with another amazing visualisation (they are really good at this).
This one shows how the virus spread through the US undetected. With hindsight, we can see just how badly they fucked up (mostly because they tried to "save the economy" as some here wanted Canada to do as well)
(the first couple slides didn't fully load for me, keep going if it doesn't for you)
So for today, Canada shows ~274 new cases. America shows ~37,945
If the government decides to open the border too early, is there any way the citizens can vote and make them keep it closed? As of right now America is our biggest threat
i'm really proud of canada for keeping their cases down. premiers in all provinces have been very responsible in their handling of covid. it got a bit scary out east for a while but they've done a great job since. the US has 11x more ppl than us but they're doing more than 10x worse even after you take that into account.

Likewise, I'm proud of the people of Hong Kong for swiftly taking action on their own, to the point where they're basically a case study of the right way to handle the virus. And on top of that, the healthcare workers who formed a union overnight with thousands of members, going on strike to force the govt to shut down the border to China.
Even the protests which have been going on for almost a year by that point had been put on hold to prevent the virus from spreading. This isn't to call out protesters of other issues going on right now, but stands out to me as incredibly responsible. Compare that to people refusing to wear masks, claiming it infringes upon their rights (how many are the same who want to ban Burkas I wonder)
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Is Costco exempted from enforcing social distancing? or phase 3 doesn't require social distancing?
went to Costco today and it was a PACKED inside, like any pre-c19 weekends, no more lining up and limiting the number of people inside.
I didn't feel too uncomfortable with zero social distancing because almost everyone wore mask, some people still didn't, despite Costco was giving away free mask at the door... But I thought SD is still being enforced

As I have said many times in this thread, call it in. Complain to management, call the local bylaw department or the non emergency line etc. Make your voice heard or else nothing will be done

I'm not always keen with Now This News because I've noticed them edit some stories through omission, which makes the story misleading, but this, omg! I can't believe these ppl, I wish this was an Onion story omg

The Onion is more credible than real life these days.

I think people are finally realizing other countries in asia who can't really social distance has done fine without it. As long as everyone wears a mask & other sanitizing procedures.
To all those assholes to inconvenienced to keep they mask on during shopping, At places like costco when they even hands out free masks and requires you to wear them inside. I hope you catch a disease and die. Selfish cunts
