If Harper we’re still in power we’d be in the same place or better and without the conflict of interest investigations |
if the 3 day count is over 60 tomorrow i might put gym/restaurants on pause again sadly dont think we're ready for phase 3 yet |
Went to Hmart in poco today, there was a car club having a meet in the lot, huge groups of ppl, not one mask... prolly still going on rn |

A lot of my friends from school who I stay (barely) connected with have found jobs in Alberta in the oil industry. So that explains a lot of it. A lot aren't directly related to that though, yet still dedicate their lives to posting Trudeau and gun memes and anti-BLM stuff on facebook every day WutFace |

Hong Kong locking down again, gyms, bars, cinemas closed again. Tattoo shops also closed (fortunate I was able to get one 2 weeks ago SeemsGood ) Restaurants are takeout only after 6pm I strongly urge people here to stop going to the gym in Vancouver, there could be another outbreak stirring there as well. I know it's for health, and the same people going to gyms likely wouldn't be going to bars and cinemas, but it's still extremely risky, and not worth it. |
I keep booking my slot time at Goodlife but keep cancelling due to time conflict but since one of their Burnaby location got a positive Covid case, I'm absolutely not even going to attempt going now especially with a newborn on the way. I still check the app and I still see full bookings for their time slots:rukidding: |
Just anecdotal reference over the past weekend Visited Home Depot in Richmond - 80-90% mask rate Visited Home Depot South Surrey - 20% mask rate |
To add to that, I was at wal mart in Chilliwack (friend bought a car Sunday and was only insurance place open lol) Mask rate - probably between 2-5% I have to say, we are lucky it never really hit here yet. If and when it does, people’s habits aren’t conducive to stopping public transmissions. |
I’ve been wanting to return to the gym but fuck don’t even feel like going under the current arrangement and time slots etc. Gotta get a better home routine going I suppose |
Commercial Ave in Vancouver has 0% mask rate when I was driving and waiting for a light there over the weekend. And I just read this news article that there's heart damage found in Corona patients..... https://www.newsweek.com/scans-revea...-1517293?amp=1 |
Last I was at commercial on a weekday I’d say over half were wearing masks. I feel like the weekend activities of hanging out and having drinks is bringing out the carelessness in people. To be fair though, I only wear my mask when I’m going inside places. Walking down the street I don’t, but it’s pretty easy to distance in north van. |

Not sure if you can grab some dumbbells and cross into other areas, that would be ok but yea, the time limit at least keeps people off their phones hopefully |
My gyms been pretty awesome since Covid, it's completely empty for the first 15 mins of my workout so I never wait for any equipment anymore, you have to workout alone so you don't get the bros taking over the bench press section for an hour either. Everyone gets their own spray bottle to clean the equipment after and from what I've seen most people are doing well with it and giving people space. |
There isn't a lot of people in the gym when I go, probably 8? I go a few times a week, probably continue going. |
I switched to a new gym about 3 weeks ago. Was going to go to Good Life but the non 24hrs and timeslot thing turned me off. Ended up at Anytime Fitness Metrotown. I mostly go early at 6am or late at 1am but have gone 3 times during day time hours around 10-11 and it was not busy. I hear other locations can get busier for example the Kensington location I've heard has more power lifting types. Metrotown I've heard isn't that busy likely because Good Life is across the street so a lot of people go there instead. |

And with filming productions taking place again, and bars filled, less mask usage, we're going to see high numbers again soon |

I am curious where the 6 non-locals came from though. |

But I would assume it’s just vacationers from out of town or Alberta |
Cali going into full lockdown again |
