Gov't has the power to lay down hammers to force wearing masks, sometimes it's just better to have business mandate themselves.

Thank God BC is a place where people are doing their part, I can't imagine hill billy regions of BC or even AB being forced to do shit when your citizens are against it.

Maybe it's not reported on the discrimination (esp. in HK), but no one wants to be targeted (their building / floors / region) has COVID. We already have relatives getting discriminated / not welcomed to come to a close family baby gathering; because "oh, uncle is high risk on COVID cause he's a bus driver".

It's already happening now (Vancouver Sun report last week), I don't ever want to be looking for a place to rent and then landlord sees me as a double threat "oh, you're a health care worker = high risk, and your previous address shows you were on the same floor as the Surrey Party, I'm not going to rent it to you".
