Anyone working in a B.C. school will be required to wear a mask in ‘high traffic areas’ like in hallways or on buses. The province has also announced masks will be required for students at middle and high schools in circumstances where maintaining physical distance is impossible. Exceptions for those who can’t wear a mask due to a medical condition will be made.
Won't be long before kids in school start coughing on each other as "jokes"

That's crazy, this is the 2nd time in a month I've heard of this company.

A friend of mine posted another email he sent off to this 21 year old girl who was applying for a position.

He wrote this diatribe completely eviscerating this girl about her application for a minimum wage job.

The guy sounds like a total psychopath.

Looks like he's getting heavily review bombed on Google now

When people want to fly, i encourage them to THINK.
1) 14 day quarantine is mandatory when you come back.. does your work allow you to be isolated at home (unless u work remote)
2) Insurance does NOT allow coverage during COVID. Pandemic is not the same as regular unforseen circumstances; which means.. if you miss your flight.. you are on your own.
3) Have you tried booking a flight back to Canada... well good fooking luck when you are overseas in Europe.. it's not you can just hop onto the next available flight.

You're just thinking of the trip insurance.

Many extended health insurance providers will no longer cover out of country emergency health insurance because it's now a known issue. If you get sick outside of Canada then you're on your own. Good luck paying all the ridiculous fees if you somehow get sick in America

My employer health insurance provider emailed me stating that they DO cover COVID-19 while out of province travelling. So I would ask before assuming.

It’s not really that hard to fly in and out of Canada. Family friends wife is Thai and has come and gone to Vancouver from Bangkok twice, no issues

Also my wife’s uncles dumb ass daughter went to Cali to meet a guy she met online a couple weeks ago, again no problem coming and going and she isn’t smart enough to come up with any sort of legitamite excuse

Evidence that the virus was stored in a lab in Wuhan for 7 years, and it escaped the lab somehow to start this pandemic

There are now 13 states that have more cases than our entire country. Man.

This is concerning. I saw a huge group of 20+ kids(6-9 years old) that looks like they're part of a camp/babysitting group just walking along the street with a leader. No mask or any precaution..

What’s new? Walk to any park, tennis court, school ground etc. That’s been going on for months.

People gotta work, you think some Day care worker making $18 an hour going to try and get 20 6 year olds to wear masks?

People were saying South Korea was “doing well” a few months ago now their seeing hundreds of cases per day and 300 yesterday, no one seems to bring these cases up where countries that were mentioned as being a model as to how to handle it are now snowballing with cases.

Edit* just drove by the testing Center at Central Park in Burnaby, cars are lined up backing onto boundary and there is a cop directing traffic so many people are lined up for testing, rock on Vancouver!

Curious about people living in apartments, especially the high rises. Do you guys wear a mask the moment you leave your unit?

Condos are prob the worst for for spreading the virus due to recirculation of air through the HVAC system.

Most condos I’ve seen that have central AC have their condensers and filters within the unit no?

I've been providing updates on Hong Kong's second wave - which is bigger than the first - as soon as it started. We're in our 3rd week of extreme measures - masks must be worn at all times, restaurants closed for dinner, etc.

"being a model as to how to handle it" is exactly what Hong Kong is, and you can see the results:

Korea will be the same, because they aren't fucking around.

There will be a lot of cases no matter what, but when people do the right thing, the impact will be as small as humanly possible.

- fine people in large gatherings aggressively
- shut down clubs/bars/indoor activities where people are mobile and not stationary
- mandatory masks at all indoor spaces (other than restaurant etc)
- start cutting people off from cerb who are abusing the system, who could go back to work and haven’t or could easily get another job (a lot of industries are desperately trying to hire)

That would be a good start

Even condo's with no AC have forced air in the common areas. This is per the building code, common areas are positively pressured, that way things like cooking smells and more importantly smoke, in the event of a fire, are pushed into units rather than being sucked into the corridors and evacuation paths.

I dont know when this was introduced into NFPA and BC Building code, but it was pre-2006 BCBC.

But regardless of that fact, from the behaviour discussed about the virus, this type of spread is highly unlikely.

The majority of the concern in the virus surrounding appartments, are shared surfaces in common areas, like doorknobs and elevator buttons, not to mention its just increased interactions with people from the moment you step out your door. Interactions that detached homes dont have.
