Sorry, I thought you were asking about quarantining. My bad. Personally, I don't think we could afford a high level lockdown again. I doubt that'll be coming down the pike. JMO of course |

Bitch, that woman just spat in that guy's face, what the hell do you expect? God I hate people like that. |
Assuming that woman that went out to help her didnt see the initial incident and only saw a guy push someone out the door. But if she saw the whole thing and still said that and helped the lady that spat on that guy, then she can go fuck herself as well. |
Dr. Bonnie's Covid update for this past weekend mentions frightening numbers. Number of new cases: 817. Who thinks that Dr. Bonnie is going to ask Horgan and Dix soon to implement more restrictions in BC to bring down the curve? |

How are officers gonna enforce social bubbles in homes???? VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — The new order limits gatherings in private homes to members of your immediate household, plus six others in your social bubble. The order comes after B.C. set a three-day record with 817 new COVID-19 cases over the past three days. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said the immediate focus will be on the Fraser Health region, where most new cases are occurring. She also announced a new expectation for people to wear masks in public spaces. |
Most of the new cases were in the Fraser Health region (665) and Vancouver Coastal Health region (109). |
Halloween is on a Saturday this year. It just so happens that Daylight Savings Time also ends on this weekend. We fall back one hour on Saturday night. An extra hour for people to be at their Halloween parties or blow up more fireworks/fire crackers. More opportunities for Covid to spread in BC. |
Has anyone here tried flying to the US for non-essential travel? The border is closed at the land crossing for non-essential travel but Canadians are still allowed to fly into the US. |
Geez I was expecting a high number for the weekend but not this high, I was thinking around 700 |

You're right though, it's going to be fucking bad. I got off work around midnight Friday and Saturday, and people were clearly going to/leaving parties as I drove through DT. I might be back peddling on my stance that they wouldn't be putting in place another lockdown. |
But they can't even pass the vote to have mandatory face masks in city of Vancouver buildings:rukidding::fulloffuck: |
I don't know if it'll help anyone to know but I, as a healthcare worker, am also exhausted by the restrictions. Irregardless of how strictly everyone is still enforcing this on themselves, it's been an exhausting year either way. All I can say is, it's still better than having to revert back to a full lockdown. If things get as bad as they are in Ontario (and we're getting damn near close) there won't be a choice but to lockdown. Nobody wants that; whether you're liberal/conservative/denialist etc. If everyone can just continue to be diligent it'll pay off. Delayed gratification is something lost on the current generation since they've been brought up a world where they're literally surrounded by instant gratification among other social problems. To everyone who has stayed the course, thank you. I share in your struggle and hope you can dig deep and continue on even when it looks bleak. |
