Walmart employee in Dawson Creek, B.C., attacked after asking man to wear mask

What in the flying fuck?! He literally ground and pound the poor minimum wage worker that's just doing his job ... that's messed up...

Last time this happened, the person who attacked the employee got into a police stand off and was killed.

Over wearing a mask.

It sucks that these employees are being put into this position.

Walmart cant afford to have beefed up security? :/

Sounds like all covid deniers who support the restaurant owner, or the BBQ is that good.

What I don't get is that they can do take outs. That restaurant constantly sells out every day ... yes, it's that good.
Nobody says you can't open ... just feed the hillbilly crowd by containers!

Wish there was instant karma for these shitheads ... so the employee trying to do the right thing now has a busted lip and emotional scarring. Maybe a pat on the back by his manager and the asshat just got escorted out and released for a "hearing at a later date".
Sigh.

Exactly this.
Guy's video was about rights, sovereign nation, and some other bat shit crazy stuff.

But hey, it's publicity for his restaurant.

They can’t “afford” fair wages for their workers so they definitely can’t afford to protect them.

spoon.ek9 11-26-2020 05:37 PM

article mentioned they have hired a security guard

All those fuckers care about is making money hand over fist. Every single Walmart that I've gone to since COVID started has basically replaced all cash registers with self-checkout.

N.V.M. 11-26-2020 05:51 PM

seems to me you can cheat those self checkouts so easy! you can use a different bar code you carry around with you, and you can omit an item or two.

This is why you should protect yourself than to get into a fight with a minimum wage pay...

I suspect his intention was to have his business shut down and be fined.
That way he can take it to court, and if he wins, set the precedent for unconstitutional shutdowns of businesses.
His lawyers seem to think he has a strong case.

I'm surprised other employees didn't jump in though

Well, the people that shop at Walmart seem to be the type that also work there, a vicious cycle... EleGiggle

East Indian or not, household gatherings are the worse because a) once you're in the household, by the 1st hour, EVERYONE takes off their masks.

People with large family households, were jam packed within the same househould / backyard.. and caused huge outbreaks.

Wonder how many who donated are business owners who want to see him win in court. Consider it an investment.
Be able to hire some decent lawyers with that. Probably win it too.

Teriyaki 11-26-2020 08:09 PM

Excellent. Nevermind the actual court case, now you've got precedent of just making a huge ruckus and getting a fat kickstarter paycheque. You just know they'll be people trying to cash in on something similar

whitev70r 11-26-2020 08:44 PM

Knowing our court system, by the time it gets to court, we would have given everyone in Canada the vaccine ... except this group of course. I hope by then it would not be an issue of restaurants opening.

I can already imagine how kindly a BC judge would look at this and the punitive damages that the judge would hand out for assault.

JDMDreams 11-26-2020 09:18 PM

^^ well didn't Van just voted to legalize small amount of drugs cuz they too lazy to enforce it
