Rub it into your friends' face that your daughter got accepted into law school and your son is now a surgeon. Also, if god was so almighty, why is he doing nothing? Oh, I know, god is testing everyone. And, if you die from Covid, you are going to a better place (as you gasp for air and all your organs are failing)........... the pain. It's all part of the plan. god bless..........

BTW, not all christians are shallow minded lemmings. Some genuinely believe and do make a difference. They respect everyone else for their beliefs. I've met many a holy persons from all kinds of religions in my travels and they all have the same things in common. Always in search of truth, peace, and harmony. Never judging others. Sadly, not enough of these religious leaders around. People tend to flock to those damn, holier than thou evangelists with the silver tongue..............

You believe there’s a guy sitting on a giant throne in the sky but you can’t believe Bonnie Henry when she says could you please wear a mask

SkinnyPupp 11-30-2020 06:16 PM

With hindsight, I think we can say that even if China had handled it perfectly, we'd be exactly where we are now anyway.

MG1 11-30-2020 06:23 PM

Surprise!

68style 11-30-2020 06:24 PM

I mean I genuinely hope God is bigger than Covid. The virus is only 60-140 nanometers in diameter, I’d be hella disappointed if the almighty was revealed to be under that.

3 road in Richmond was lined up to the garage bays on Saturday

winson604 11-30-2020 11:02 PM

Went to the liqour store beside Richmond Walmart last Sunday afternoon and needed to also get oatmeal so thought i'll run into the Walmart. Within 5 seconds I walked right out it was a fucking shit show I haven't seen this many people in one place since 2019 I don't care if Richmond has high mask wearing or not.

MG1 11-30-2020 11:05 PM

But the big question is, was the oatmeal on sale?

N. V. M. wants to know.

SkinnyPupp 12-02-2020 04:58 AM

how's russia doing with their vaccine?

MG1 12-02-2020 09:22 AM

Damn, Covid at the Safeway where I do my shopping (Kensington Square). Also, Joti's No Frills. My kids and I shop there every weekend.

Safeway, not so safe, these days. Actually, nowhere is safe these days.

I would actually see that as being quite safe. Think about the number of interactions that these stores see on a daily basis and how many tens of thousands of people have passed through those doors. The # of positive cases is really quite minuscule given the situation.

westopher 12-02-2020 01:15 PM

Also, exposure =\= transmission.
Exposures can happen anywhere. Someone walking into Safeway with covid doesn’t really mean that the risk is there. Once multiple transmissions happen in an environment is the only time you can really determine if it’s safe or not, like the spin classes that have had multiple transmissions, or churches etc. Those are being shown to be unsafe environments.

Dr. Bonnie's daily briefing for today:

834 new cases
12 deaths

JDMDreams 12-02-2020 02:19 PM

So it works out to be around 100 ppl dying a week. Sounds pretty serious to me.

StylinRed 12-02-2020 03:17 PM

Shouldn't vaccine distribution be given to those with the highest risk of dying over front line workers instead? Distribute them to seniors first then docs/nurses

JDMDreams 12-02-2020 03:27 PM

Everyone is gonna die if we don't have healthy health care workers or they all decide to rage quit

RRxtar 12-02-2020 03:31 PM

Can someone school me on vaccines? Are there different kinds of vaccines other than the ones that protect you by teaching your body how to fight the virus before you catch it? If that is the case, shouldn't the priority be to vaccinate people at the highest risk of severe health complications? And demographics at very low chance of getting sick really done need vaccination? You can still carry and pass on the virus even with being vaccinated, correct?

If you don't vaccinate the actual medical professionals first then we're fucked if they all start getting sick and dying off.

This is a prime example of where you need to direct your resources for the greater good of the public.

Most vaccines prevent the spread as well but it doesn't sound like the COVID vaccines will.
