Even in China they're building an mRNA vaccine center, and they say there's not even a timeline for it yet. This must be some extremely high tech, sensitive stuff.

I can't imagine how much money BioNTech has invested in their nanolipid technology over the decades to get it working, but it sure has paid off now.

mRNA tech is going to be able to treat so many diseases

watch anti-vaxxers beg for an mRNA shot if it could cure or treat a terminal cancer diagnosis for themselves or somebody they care about

Doubt it, they’ll continue to eat a special diet or use some other unproven method to treat cancer...

JDMDreams 03-31-2021 04:53 PM

Apparently we're the worse in Canada right now, over 170 infections per million? Quebec is like 100 per million

Thoughts and Prayers. It's cheap, affordable, and seemingly works for all sorts of illnesses, disasters, shootings, bombings. Who needs science.

^^ human rights and freedom also works for Coronas, :ahwow: we're ahead of schedule 1013 before Easter. Let's see how much more incompetence there will be. In any company they will be long fired for this amount of fuck up

So any indigenous person over 18 can now get vaccinated within the “age” bracket ie. Pfizer or Moderna, and the news1130 article says you don’t have to prove status...

Here I come as I identify as a trans-Métis person for a day..

JDMDreams 03-31-2021 07:01 PM

^ isn't this discrimination? So only natives gets it now? I thought it's Asians, black, all lives matter:accepted:

SkinnyPupp 03-31-2021 07:19 PM

They prioritize the highest risk groups. First senior citizens, frontline workers, etc.

whitev70r 03-31-2021 07:21 PM

Damn ... all those anti-maskers were right. Sh*t like this does not infuse confidence in people. AZ side effects serious enough for Cdn government to take significant adjustments. And now incompetent factories freestylin with the formula.

Broke the daily record for covid cases today. Perhaps the government saw some data which led to their abrupt closing of restaurants. Just thinking.

LOL it's gonna be so easy for white people to scam and try to pass as metis/indigenous. Gonna take some convincing for Asians named Johnny Tran to pass for one even though we "look" closer to them.

I wonder when we're finally gonna cave in and shut down. We're doing worse than Ontario and it's expected that they are gonna announce a full lock down.

Liquid_o2 04-01-2021 08:46 AM

Ontario announced a full lock down today. I believe it starts Saturday. Similar to BC.

interesting read (ya I know Yahoo sucks, but some good points are made)

Yay, my parents got their first vaccine shot today. Pfizer.

No lineups at the Italian Cultural Centre in east Van this morning.

"This was done after consultation with industry and assessing risk of spread"

More like this was done after the backlash they received from not issuing any notice for the hospitality industry.

Like others have said...making it up as they go along :lol

Hondaracer 04-01-2021 10:37 AM

So places where I can just suck back booze, cool, makes sense.

yray 04-01-2021 10:44 AM

indoors or outdoors? Where did they get it?

Sorry to hear that btw, hope they have a quick recovery.

Traum 04-01-2021 12:09 PM

Ugh... Sorry to hear that your parents got the bug. I hope they are doing OK.

yray 04-01-2021 12:25 PM

Ate indoors, dad was across from me

dad was in the hospital for a 3 weeks, so I would've showed symptoms a while back.

Hospital didn't have enough icu beds so he was in the ER isolation room for 30 hours before icu

He actually went in to the icu january 2020 with double pneumonia with ARDS where he was intubated for 2 weeks, spent 4 weeks total in ICU. He said this experience is quite a bit different from last time, no antibiotics, just blood thinners. Doctors just looking at stats to decide intubation rather than actually talking to the patient. He had to refuse intubation a few times as his condition looked worse at night due to sleep apnea.

He was released Wednesday and was already washing his car so hopefully things are better :lawl: He did lose 30lbs body weight.

Be careful everyone :)
