They should test the vaccine on govt officials first

If they survive, the vaccine is good

If they die, the country is safe

Some articles say a fine for travel across different “health regions” and some say “local communities”. So who knows.

Bouncing Bettys 04-19-2021 09:33 PM

This didn't age well.

Only this time, the host took the call seriously and posed the question to her guest. The guest just said there would be logistical and legal difficulties, and so on. Funny and scary when obvious satire is mistaken for legitimate suggestions of authoritarian measures, and people are willing to consider them.

Is there a map with the health regions?

Map at the bottom. Individual municipalities listed with their health regions on top:

So everyone is in Fraser health and everything else is buttfuck no where. Sounds like I'm fine going from bby to Harrison to Kelowna

Bouncing Bettys 04-19-2021 10:29 PM

Didn't realize the Fraser Health Region included so much of the Lower Mainland. Not just a bunch of dumb hicks in Abby/Wack/Langley driving the numbers?

JDMDreams 04-19-2021 10:43 PM

^ you mean Surrey?

Hard to see on that map, but yes Surrey, Delta, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, etc.,

SkinnyPupp 04-19-2021 11:10 PM

It didn't take long for people to equate this to Papers, please

What will the future hold... vaccinated families get city and road use? And when will the city proposed tolls kick in? This is getting closer to that movie Minority Reports.

btw, which one is the fake news?

SkinnyPupp 04-20-2021 05:47 AM

30 more times, so one is 0.0001% chance and one is 0.004%. Birth control is 17 times more likely than that. Both are lower or as low as pretty much any other drug that exists. Smokers have around a 0.87% chance to get VTE blood clots.

Imagine a smoker avoiding vaccinations... Ele Fucking Giggle EleGiggle (actually they probably should quit for a while before getting vaccinated, but if you smoke you obviously don't care about covid or blood clots or anything else health related)

Further to what I posted yesterday this isn't news breaking information it's posted I honestly never seen it until this morning, posting in case anyone else was in the dark like myself. It does look like certain postal codes are getting priority, ie: if you live in an area where they haven't taken it as serious and infection rates are high you get priority (Yes we're talking most of Surrey, but not the area I live in for some reason lol). Probably all part of the meta game, their just smarter then the rest of us. :) It looks like anyone 40+ can get the AstraZeneca shot at the Pharmacy which makes sense, I see some of you posted above about making appointments.

Quote:

General population

Everyone living B.C. will have the opportunity to get the vaccine for free in 2021. Your vaccine appointment will be scheduled when you are eligible, based on your age.

Priority neighbourhoods

People born in 1981 or earlier (40+) who live in high-transmission neighbourhoods can register and get contacted to book their vaccine appointment on the same day.

Check if you live in a high-transmission neighbourhood

High-transmission neighbourhoods are located in 13 communities across B.C.

Fraser Health

East Newton
Fleetwood
North Delta
North Surrey
Panorama

Fraser Health

Port Coquitlam
South Langley Township
West Abbotsford
West Newton
Whalley

Vancouver Coastal Health

Kensington
Squamish

Northern Health

Dawson Creek

Pharmacy program

People born in 1981 and earlier (40+) can get the AstraZeneca vaccine at eligible pharmacies in the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, the Interior and Northern B.C.

Youre so smart... please tell us then why cant you get compensated for vaccine damage in the U.S. if the vaccines are so safe? What dollar amount does Canada provide for vaccine damage or death?

GLOW 04-20-2021 06:31 AM

so if i'm 2 blocks west of boundary in east van, and work 5 blocks east of boundary in burnaby, i can never go in to the office? :lol

Or am I totally missing something?

I'm in one of the 13 high-risk areas, however, I did not get a notification from the government to book an appointment (I've been registered for a few weeks). I merely tried booking at various pharmacies in the area, because of the new eligibility for 40+ w/ Astra-Zeneca and was successfully able to book an appointment.

CivicBlues 04-20-2021 06:46 AM

A year into this pandemic and a vaccine rollout, yet people still don't know the which cities are in which Health Region?

Sorry buddy, no Kelowna for you. You get stuck with the shitty parts of Metro Van. Though you still have Golden Ears and Manning Park, good luck getting a parking spot EleGiggle

westopher 04-20-2021 06:57 AM

There’s literally a map posted above his comment. Twice.

Mikoyan 04-20-2021 08:20 AM

My brother is in one of the targeted areas. He registered a couple weeks back, and he got the text/email this morning to book. He's booked in for his shot in a couple of days.

Hondaracer 04-20-2021 08:22 AM

Hahahaha.. so the fucking public safety minister coming out now saying random roadside checks will not happen and if anything “MAYBE” they will setup at ferries etc.

Then there’s also articles coming out from political analysts saying the restrictions are virtually impossible to enforce because of VCH and Fraser health sharing such large borders and not to mention regional and RCMP police forces that there is no way to coordinate the enforcement between different jurisdictions lololol

If this fucking shit is a total failure and numbers are still going up after may long this will be the biggest fucking failure of the entire pandemic for the BC Govt.

Looks like the latest schedule to 'register' is the same process as this post from a few weeks ago quoted below.

Except back when I first shared it there was no instructions about age specific groups registering at any given time, just sounded like it was an open registration and you would be contacted once your group was up.

I THINK that is the case, the messaging from health authorities are just so confusing...

Most people know this by now, but in case people don't, NO, you do NOT have to re-register if you have already registered previously before the age groups were announced according to the FAQ:

https://immunizebc.ca/ask-us/questio...e-or-do-i-need

Quote:

Question:
I registered before my age group was open for registration. Will I stay in the queue or do I need to register again?

Answer:
You will not need to register again.
You will receive an email or text (depending on what you chose) when you are eligible to book a vaccination appointment.
