If filter no longer works when workers stay home, then you have water that is not at the quality it is currently at, so you have to boil it. What if your basic utility doesn't work anymore like power, heat, stove? Then you can't drink the water. I know it's unlikely, but if you imagine the worst possible scenario, it makes sense to stock up on water too, probably more important than food. |

However, COVID has a very distinctive signature in CT scans. So, the likelihood of getting a false positive with a CT scan being confused with flu is very low. Source: my MD friend. |

they're smart. they also need hydration. the cell walls let water in and out of the cell. high % alcohol makes the cells react and harden the walls temporarily, letting them survive. if its 60-80%, the cell walls still let the water through, and also the alcohol, therefore killing the cell. viruses i duno. they aint even alive, i duno how the fuck they can die if they arent even alive. lol. they just dry out in the environment or break down over time haha i duno. thats as far as my alcohol sanitizing knowledge goes |

Our neighbour to the south has declared a state of emergency over Covid19. |
US citizens are avoiding testing cause of healthcare cost. Trump calls it a hoax and has Dr. Pence in charge. God help us. |
There are corona cases along the west coast of the US that can't be sourced to danger zones, and they're not testing ppl unless theyve had contact with those danger zones... Yikes https://www.washingtonpost.com/healt...470_story.html |
4 Attachment(s) modding my 3M respirator. 3M filters are expensive, so bought a large sheet of H12 HEPA filter and cut it down, add few layers from surgical mask and I am done. it won't 100% filter the virus, but I will drive around and shopping with this everyday, instead of paying CAD$40 for a box of 50 surgical masks |

Newly Completed Genomic study strongly suggests that there has been cryptic (undetected) transmission in Washington State for the past 6 weeks. How many people around Snohomish County have been driving back and forth up to BC in the past 6 weeks? We seriously fucked. |
You know what’s far more dangerous? panic |

Like mentioned, panicking is a bigger problem. Look at all the panic buy that's already happening. Quote:

Walked into richmond costco at 8:40am today it was ded! :fuckyea: Thanks for opening early 320icar |
I don't think any of this is considered panic buying or panicking. This is more like preparedness. You'll know if we hit panic when people trample on each other, fight for food, begin to loot etc. For instance, there's a few videos of people lining up with carts to get into the Richmond Costco. Or this video from Hawaii titled "Panic Buying at Costco", but really it seems extremely orderly lol. |
God all that tp. Install a bidet. Manuals ones r cheap. And Ur ass will thank you later. Maybe Ur plumbing to |
The "prepping" that is going on is kind of funny. I've been arguing with my wife for 2 weeks that we should do a Costco run to stock up on the usual stuff we stock up on. Not to prep for the coronavirus, but to nit have to grocery shop when everyone else is panic prepping. Sure enough she agrees to go today. 8 minutes after the store opened, the lines for the checkouts were to the back of the store. That's worse than 2pm on a Sunday at Christmas for the Kelowna store. Fuck that. Did a quick 180 no scope out the door and went to a regular grocery store. I go home and tell some friends and they say it's stupid to do any shopping ahead of time because "it's not bad yet". I can't imagine what it's going to be like in a month or 2 when it actually gets bad and the panic shopping really gets going. 2005 Boxingday shopping for pork chops anyone? Lol |
Just wait until they start closing the stores. |

Depending on how bad that is for people without health problems the concern would more be the sheer number of people being too sick to work causing transportation and supply issues. Quote:
