If an entire group of vaccinated people get together, even if they've all the had just one dose the risk of serious illness is negligible.

Same outcome? | No, if they'd wanted to get the AZ I'd be fine with that. I think my wife's aunt got that one, but her mom got pfizer. I would never steer someone away from getting a vaccine if it's available.
But if there is a choice, and the risks aren't too high, I'd say get the mRNA one. A lot of people here did that, and I agree with that choice
The idea of mixing two different variants... they are looking at it and some studies are being done, but it's not something that can be counted on just yet.

Kinda funny how there was all the discussion and opposition to vaccine passports and even getting the vaccine because it creates a “class” system

the variants are the dominant strains here and with one dose and no prior covid infection, scaling back on precautions may backfire

If anything, AZ peeps should qualify for TWO shots of Pfizer for that extra 150% protection.
