Masks are not required in public places but strongly recommended. But I believe stores can require individuals to wear masks. |
There are some people at the airport who think the no masks rules apply but the airport falls under federal regulations so masks are still mandatory. |
Finally got to get my 2nd dose today, I had booked for late in the evening, but they called first thing in the morning, asking if I could come earlier (Langley Events Centre) I guess the rate of people getting their vaccines has really fallen There was hardly anyone there, didn't even need to wait outside, the line inside was a little slow, but only because they just had 1 person administering shots initially (the other nurses there were waiting for more vials to be brought out) once they got resupplied the lineup zipped thru I hope that means the whole province will be done with 2nd doses soon |
Are we supposed to get called/notified for second dose or do we just go and get it? Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk |

Every clinic will have changing supplies every day since they get their shipments daily. There is no guarantee that if clinic A has pfizer/moderna today, they'll have it tomorrow. By the end of the month, Canada should have enough vaccine supply that every 12 year old and up can get their full 2 dose. |
hope the convention centre isn't too busy, that's the earliest in e.van. i think i'm good with either pfizer or moderna since it's the same tech |
Got my second shot on Friday at Fortius/Sinclair in Burnaby - they had both at the time. Wife got her's at Anvil Centre on Friday as well, they also had both shots. No side effects for her at all, I was a little tired the evening of and slept like a baby for 12 hours. Slight headache the day after, sore arm, but that's it. |

When was the last time you went for a flu shot and asked the person administering the shot if it's the same vaccine from the previous years? |

I actually personally never gotten a flu shot (to my knowledge). Not anti vaccines or anything, just never bothered or felt the need for flu shots. My only hesitation right now is admittingly, mostly due to my lack of knowledge and research into this subject. If it wasn't for me reading/hearing conflicting messages here and there, I probably wouldn't have put this much thought into it. |
I think the amount of information available out there can be a hinderance more than a benefit at times. When only bits and pieces get pushed by the media, or people around you, it's not going to be easy to process without searching further. People are getting inundated with things they don't understand. |
The way I see it is if both shots were available they would advise you to get the same shot as the first one. They are only telling you to get the other shot because it's all they have, much like when they told you to take the AZ shot. I'm not saying mixing shots is bad for you, but how would they really know when mixing shots wasn't really a thing until a couple months ago? Once again, if the difference between mixing and not mixing is only a couple of weeks I'll be fine waiting for my second dose. |
Getting my second dose Friday. Part of me prefers to get Pfizer again but if all they have is Moderna, then so be it. |

As I said before, no where with the luxury of enough supply of the vaccine is mixing. First dose efficacy is obviously enough that if you want to, you can wait for your preferred shot. I don’t begrudge people for mixing etc. But don’t feel like you should just be forced to take whatever is offered |

I concur, not a single mask was seen at the Barking Parrot, or any of the breweries, and restaurants. It was glorious. Side note though, Penticton was a gong show for getting a spot to eat at night, literally starting from 5PM every spot had long waits. Penticton was rammed with people, and every restaurant and bar was seriously short staffed. |

And yea..waited about 30 minutes every time we went to eat because of lack of staff seemingly. Still had a great time but there’s gonna be some growing pains hiring new people in the service industry. The lakeside resort also had a serve yourself breakfast buffet this morning. Was nice to feel a little normal |
30 mins is nothing. 2+ hour long waits in Whistler and Bar Oso flat out couldn’t get us in. Went for a drink at the Longhorn while waiting to see if we could get into Bar Oso and it was pretty much a full on rave/party with the DJ bumping house. Got out of there pretty quick since I haven’t had my second dose lol |

Hope you had a good visit. We were out and about today and I’d say about 25% still masking (including myself, as I’m only a few days into my 2nd dose). |
^ yea we have friends we usually stay with and then usually once a summer at lakeside. Have been going 2-3 times a year for the last 3 or so since they moved up there. Every time I’m up there I feel like we should move up.. But yea the red plates were def coming snd going. The most I’ve seen since covid probably |
