Now that restrictions are being relaxed, are y'all coming out the woodwork? | I don’t know what effect the restrictions would have had on them anyways since even before they were told to stay home they’d spend like 18hrs a day on 4/chan in their moms basement.

Holy... I did not respond well to that 2nd dose of Pfizer at all.
The vaccinated shoulder (basically just the deltoid) started growing really sore that evening, and I started getting muscle / joint aches as well. I also became tired / lethargic, but just couldn't get any meaningful amount of sleep since I wasn't feeling well. I was getting chills that come and go throughout the night even though I had 2 light blankets on me.
The lethargy, aches, and chills continued the next morning, and my brain kind of felt like mush at times. I started feeling warm in the afternoon, and by the time dinner time rolled around, I had developed a low grade fever. And as if that still wasn't fun enough, I had diarrhea for a few hours starting in the late afternoon too. I went to bed super early because it was just bad.
Thankfully, I feel like I'm back at 80% when I woke up this morning. My shoulder is still sore. I know my energy level isn't 100%, but other than that, I'm generally feeling pretty good today.
I sincerely hope that a 3rd jab wouldn't be necessary... Quote:

Couldn't feel the needle at all during the jab. Something started to feel off about an hour later, and that uneasy feeling is still there now. A really bad headache developed about 2 hours after the jab, and I know my head is still not in the right place right now, and it feels difficult to think, but at least the pain has become a lot more bearable now.
For my first shot, I was feeling really, really tired for 36 - 48 hours -- I was still really tired before going to bed that time, and I woke up feeling back to normal again, so I don't really know how long the tiredness last. But with this 2nd shot so far, my energy level feels totally normal.
Hopefully none of this will get worse, and the headache will go away when I wake up tomorrow. | |

I'm thinking there will be a lot of foreign investment just look at HK, China, Japan, rest of Asia, India, I'm sure there's more reason for their rich to get the fuck out. They can't really go to Europe cuz they are also a shit show with Coronas. We've so far done relatively well.

My cousin is in cali. She said they're going wiht a full mask mandate now and maybe go into a lock down again with the delta variant coming.
Her co worker thought he can go to vegas for the weekend. Came back with Delta and entire family needs to quartantine for 2 weeks.

"We take this incredibly seriously, but we look and are guided by our own medical experts. I wouldn't look at it through a reciprocal intention."
| Pretty dumb is you ask me -- by all measures that I can think of, Canada's COVID numbers are better than the US', and the US isn't returning the courtesy to open their borders to us.

US is being cautious, and that's smart. More than anything - more than social distancing, more than masks, more than vaccines - the most effective way to control the virus for countries that are going down in numbers and not up has been super strict border controls and mandatory quarantine for the few travelers coming in.

This thing is far from over. We here in Canada are doing well. Ahead of the Americans in vaccinations. Why the hell are we opening up the borders? Americans can be outright lying that they are fully vaccinated. Also, being vaccinated means you won’t die or end up in the hospital. You could still have COVID and pass it on to others. I was at Grand Villa Casino and was told I didn’t need to wear a mask. I’m not going there for the time being, after hearing that. I didn’t live this long on this god forsaken planet to die from some god forsaken disease that never should have happened. Hondaracer, I don’t really care what happens to you, but the health of the others that you hang with might be in jeopardy. A good friend of my son came down with COVID. His brother went to a gathering of friends who really didn’t give two shits about protecting themselves. The whole family got infected. The father ended up in an induced coma. Last I heard, they are recovering, but I can’t imagine how the brother feels. His father could have died, along with the rest of the family. All because he couldn’t refrain from socializing. Anyway, people do what they do and nobody can change their minds. As an individual, you have to do whatever you can to protect your family and friends. Variants of concern, especially the Delta variant, has changed the topography of the situation. This could be Mother Nature’s way of scrubbing the planet. Getting rid of the biggest infestation on the planet - humans. god bless us all.

So what, was his family unvaccinated?
Again..you’re playing the odds. The MRNA vaccines are suppose to be 90%+ effective in preventing serious illness and hospitalizations. So you’re now protected that much more on top of the extremely unlikely hood of catching a serious case being completely unvaccinated.
All these stories of hospitalizations and rising figures due to variants are among the unvaccinated.
Why did I even take this vaccine if it wasn’t in an attempt to get back to some semblance of normalcy? You take it as a citizen of this country/planet to “do your part” but I’m hardly going to change my behaviour to be even MORE cautious than what the govt. recommends.. lol..Things change but I have very little concern with friends and family I see after going to gatherings because virtually everyone I know is fully vaccinated.
There eventually has to be a time when you stop cowering.

40% of hospitalised in the UK are at least partially vaxxed
That's where the Delta Plus Plus variant is running wild
Also his original error of wording has the anti vaxxers creaming their pants

Just saying not to take too any chances until the variants are addressed. You are a healthy young stud of a man, hondaman, so not concerned about you, like I sort of said. I do care about you, though. I'm just concerned about the variants. Booster shots that are tailored to specific variants are coming (hopefully).
I'm fully vaccinated, but I could easily become infected. I continue to wear my mask, wash my hands, stay distanced from others, etc. I've lived a full life and if I croak, so be it. I don't want to be the one that might bring it home. Nothing is written in stone. We get confusing reports all the time from governments, scientists, experts, etc. We put our lives in the hands of people we don't even know. There's incompetence everywhere.

Cali on its own has a higher population than all of Canada. Texas and Florida, the next 2 most populous states, have a combined population that is also larger than Canada's. Last I checked, inter US travel has pretty much been going on as if COVID isn't there. I have friends in Cali, WA, and OR travelling to adjacent states, two have independently travelled to Puerto Rico, two in NYC is going out and having get together with friends like it is normal again.
Most importantly, Canada has lower case numbers and higher vaccination rates than the US. In essence, we're a safer place than the US is. It makes no sense that the US doesn't re-open its land borders to welcome fully vaccinated Canadians when our border is open to fully vaccinated Americans.

I am not at all suggesting that AZ is a crappy vaccine, but it has been shown to be not very effective against protecting the person from delta variant infection, although it is still pretty good at protecting against hospitalization and death (from the delta variant).
Death rates have unfortunately doubled for them compared to an earlier low point, but given how lots of unvaccinated idiots are not the ones getting hospitalized, I am not surprised by their higher death rates.
