They don’t want to turn off the fear. They’d rather remove restrictions first and have people do things at their comfort (or lack of comfort level) as it will naturally stagger the reintegration of socialization for people, which will cause the cases to spike less. I thought hinshaw was fuckin crazy when they announced what they were doing, but while I think Alberta is pretty low on the vaccination front to do it, the approach is realistic for what everywhere needs to do once you hit a point. You can’t dedicate so much of your resources to one issue once that issue goes below a certain threat threshold. |

Pro life until a kid is born. Then poverty, disease, violence, etc. That’s their fuckin problem now. |

I think they really need to get the vaccine passport and vaccine policies at private establishments, public service rolling. The reason why HK, Taiwan, China, Australia was able to keep numbers down is they have hardcore contact tracing and apps. Meanwhile we have scribbles on a piece of paper. Want to go to Starbucks, Cactus and that wine tasting in Kelowna Karen? Sorry show me your vaccine QR code first. This is the only way we can move on if you don't want to do mass lock downs again. There's no ifs and buts, no more of that this is just a flu and it will go away if we do nothing for 6 months. This just continues to show the red tape bureaucracy attitude that Canada has. Let's just do nothing, bad things won't happen to us. We're Canada. No need to be urgent. |
Lol you’re actually trying to tout the Australia model? The people we know there can’t go more than 5 miles from their ducking house. |
The Australian or NZ model would've been great if they had also gotten a supply of vaccines like we did, they're not going to get any real amounts of pfizer until September or so Their play for AZ completely failed with even the govt flipflop ping on its usage So they'll be in a state of open/lockdown for awhile yet |
New restrictions in place again. Thanks Kelowna. EDIT: Restrictions only for the Okanagan. For now anyways, until these fools start coming over here https://globalnews.ca/news/8092646/b...august-6-2021/ |

LOL at Richmond Nightmarket. First day opening a couple of weekends ago, saw stupidly high numbers of attendees. They were warned by the government and criticized on social media. Owner does the C-Lai, "Solly, solly," we will be better next week. Now they're going to have vaccines at the market. Owner in there like a dirty........................... shirt. Gulolol. It's okay, they is giving out vaccines...... it's all good now. |
