Is there anywhere to see the daily Covid numbers and the percentage of those people who are and are not vaccinated in the group.

spoon.ek9 08-15-2021 08:44 AM

I've been using worldometers.info to track numbers. If you google Canada's Vaccination rate, it shows we're around 64% fully vaccinated as a whole. As a comparison, USA is only at 51%.

The US is so eff'd. Certain Republican governors say no mask mandate. School boards in those states are mandating masks for their schools. Parents protesting to mandate masks. Other parents protesting no masks. What a gong show.

its weird how they don't trust science but then when they end up with covid, they go to the hospital and rely on science to save their life

320icar 08-16-2021 11:53 AM

Edit: I ain’t mad I just lol’d when I heard that hah

I usually support scishow, but skip to 0:45 lol about the delta variant. “Countries that had successfully managed earlier strains … like the United States or France”

Fucking what? At what point in history would anyone say america in any capacity successfully managed any strain of covid. And France has about the same vacc % as america with massive antivax peeps too.

4th highest case count per capita (in any country with a population over 1 million)
Highest case count
Highest death count
Hilarious to say they had any semblance of control at literally any point.

I love it when people say their belief in God will help cure them of whatever it is that they may have, then go to the hospital when they are stage 4 and is terminal.

Whistler was bumping this past weekend, crazy busy

Sat outside of Garfs smoking a joint watching the Saturday crowd lineup couldn’t pay me to stand in that line lol.. very few masks, Saturday afternoon Longhorn was also basically a full blown outside club was fun to see. If vaccines work, in theory Whistler should be one of the safest places as the local population is 90%+ fully vaccinated. And it generally seems like a lot of people out and about are also locals (dat aussy accent uhg)

Shoutout to 21 steps for always being so solid after the Keg abruptly cancelled all reservations and closed for the night without warning or notification :/ not that the keg would have been my choice anyways but it was one of the last resos I could find a few days prior. While tables may have been slightly spaced at 21 steps it was full normal capacity. We sat at the bar upstairs and it was shoulder to shoulder at the bar with two bartenders serving us neither wearing masks

blkgsr 08-16-2021 02:43 PM

ya whistler was pretty full on this weekend

was at longhorns around 1ish....wanted to hit it up after dinner at Il Caminetto but our pregnant friend and my wife said no. My buddy was down lol....board games and more wine at the cabin for us.

I ask bible thumpers why god hasnt cured their 4 eyes yet, if they are wearing glasses

JDMDreams 08-16-2021 03:29 PM

Damn we're just as bad as Alberta, 1400+ cases over the weekend for both provinces

fliptuner 08-16-2021 04:18 PM

Beats the 734 or w/e from Thursday

New Zealand goes on 7 day lockdown because of 1 case. As a result of low vaccination rates..

The trade-off of those early days of filled stadiums etc. Are now traded off with razor thin margins and instant lockdowns for both Australia and NZ..no thanks

Hardly. I'd rather a 7 day lockdown to get back to 0 cases and normality than the x amount of waves and constant uncertainty you see here.

punkwax 08-17-2021 12:29 PM

You’d prefer a 7 day lockdown over a single case?

:denied:

spoon.ek9 08-17-2021 12:30 PM

holy shit, Australia is sitting at only 21% fully vaccinated right now.

Their approach is completely unrealistic. Have fun with a non-existent tourist industry.

Oh for fuck's sake. They only need a 7 day lockdown because they have a pathetic 17% of their population fully vaccinated. A delta outbreak at that rate would be decimating.

What's the constant uncertainty here?
It's a certainty that if you get vaccinated your chances of getting seriously ill are minimal. Our health officials have consistently made this message and it's proven.

I don't even look at the daily case numbers here anymore. I'm fully vaccinated, time to stop worrying.

westopher 08-17-2021 01:10 PM

It seems like just yesterday we were talking about how shitty Canada did when it came to securing vaccines.
How the turntables.

Hondaracer 08-17-2021 01:17 PM

Doesn’t help when Australia’s PM says vaccination isn’t a right.. lol

Feel bad for our friends who live north of Brisbane. They haven’t been able to do shit for almost 2 years. I guess where they live though there isn’t all that much anyways…although one of their parents runs a few vacation rental properties so they probably got completely fucked

JDMDreams 08-17-2021 01:19 PM

^ we went from 20 cases a day to 700+ in a month we're not doing that hot either, even though we have our miracle vaccine
