That was reversed, as expected. I think about a month ago

It's mandatory again now.

Fixed

Curious, so if vaccination status is pretty much stored and converted within the QR code itself (no connection required to any database), I assume one would be given a different QR code after each actual vaccination.

Meaning if someone was vaccinated once, they would be generated a second QR code for usage after the initial first vaccination code?

Yes.

Didn't the QR Code thing start today?

Met a client for lunch, not asked to produce anything. Honestly don't really care just thought it was weird.

punkwax 09-13-2021 01:39 PM

Client and I had to show proof of vaccination at lunch today. We didn’t have to show ID though and anyone could share a pic of their QR code..

JSALES 09-13-2021 01:56 PM

What happens if businesses don’t enforce the vaccination card?

inv4zn 09-13-2021 02:10 PM

Just had lunch at a sushi joint, they scanned the QR Code but didn't ask for ID either.

I guess if your card says Bob Smith but you're Asian, or if the card Karen Wong but you're a big black dude, that's when they start?

A $2300 fine for restaurant owners. The next question would be is the government doing random checks?

winson604 09-13-2021 02:21 PM

Had to register my card at the gym today, no need to show anymore now that it's tied to my fob.

I've said this for the last few months; you don't want to get vaccinate fine, but you get sick and go to the hospital YOU pay the bill.

Is anywhere in the Lower Mainland still offering the J&J?

inv4zn 09-13-2021 03:50 PM

Was J&J ever offered here? I thought they prioritized rural communities for that because it was a 1-dose affair.

westopher 09-13-2021 03:55 PM

It was never offered here. It got emergency approval, but then the manufacturer fucked it all up in the eastern US, and no orders were filled. I believe they pulled the approval after that.

JDMDreams 09-13-2021 04:05 PM

From what I read on CBC they are supposed to check your ID if you are 19+ along with QR code

Went to the vape store, didn't get asked for my Vax fax. They said they don't have the scanner yet LOL

Why would a vape store need to check your vax status. Some people are so ill-informed.

Just got back from doing laundry at the Villa. Took longer than normal 'cause their wifi sucks balls and cell reception is poor. Finally got the vaccinated thing to show up. They don't have a scanner so i also had to dig out photo ID.

There must be an easier way. It's the first day, so they weren't prepared. I actually used the photo on my digital Services Card.

A lot of people with covid were being hospitalized or dying due to comorbidities. Some of those comorbidities were due to poor life choices like obesity. If poor choices are enough to expect people to pay for their own medical expenses, imagine all the people we could exclude: the obese, smokers, alcoholics, addicts, extreme sports participants, etc. They should pay their own costs too? Do we get to withhold treatment until they agree to pay? How does this new healthcare system work?

Show me a shot that will reduce the risks of any of those by 90% and I’ll agree anyone that doesn’t get those should deal with the same scrutiny.

It’s not an exemption from non essential services. It’s an exemption from services that pertain to high transmission social environments. It’s not essential to go to holt renfrew but you don’t need a vax pass. It’s about transmission levels.

Eat right and exercise, quit smoking, quit drinking, don't do drugs, don't do dangerous things. It's a super shot. Big Pharma is going to make me a rich man for this miracle drug.
